The case is incompatible with any third party lightning cable, as the case's lip interferes with the connector part of the cable that you hold, preventing its depression into the phone. I am thinking of cutting it, as it is already deforming from just using cables that do fit. Other than that though, the case seems way higher quality than the QuadLock options, which the QuadLock cases are falling apart with the exception of the older iPhone 6S Plus QuadLock case that I have which was made from a better and different material than all QuadLock cases since then.

I bought the case because: 1) I want to mount the phone on a motorcycle, and wanted the vibration dampening built into the 1" Ball Adapter (Non-Charging) that I also bought. I have accumulated dozens of RAM and RAM-compatible products over the years, so mounting will not be an issue. 2) I want to store five cards in everyday use, and the Slim wallet (which I also bought) took care of that nicely. My prior case, a LifeProof Flip Series Wallet Case, was not suitable for motorcycle mounting, only comfortably held two cards, and required re-glueing the cloth hinge-like flap every year or two. That said, I dropped my iPhone 11 Pro several times onto the concrete floor over the years with the LifeProof, with no issues. I have yet to "field test" the Peak case, but I have less confidence in this new case for this sort of occurence. The LifeProof had thicker bumpers in both dimensions and, as you can see in the attached photo, the lens are much more recessed, in a sort of beveled area. Perhaps the Peak case will come through with flying colors in a future similar drop test, but offhand I think that a thicker case might be more protective. Dropping the phone aside, the way the case clips onto the Ball Adapter (and presumably other Peak supports) is almost magic, and the ease of release is no slouch, either. Both are very impressive, as is the ability to switch between landscape and portrait mounting. The Slim wallet functions very well, too, and the magnetic grip seems like to be of appropriate strength, i.e., not too strong, not too weak.

I bought this cover a few weeks ago upon advise of my husband who has been using peak design devices for years and I am so happy I did! I do not understand why this brand is not to be found in every bike shop! It's so easy to use: you just place your cover on the mount system and it sticks, also super easy to withdraw from the mount - not need to turn your phone up and down like in other system as Quadlock for example. Don't hesitate to purchase this item, you'll love it! I personally use it everyday while biking and I am super happy with it!

I bought this case a couple weeks ago and so far it's great. It's slim, and the magnetic functionality is crazy strong.

This phone case is beautiful, the texture is non slip when you set it on your pants, and the buttons feel awesome; all problems with other phone cases. i use quad lock to connect my phone to the motorcycle and am very excited to try the rest of PD's phone ecosystem.
