I already had one slide for my Canon DLSR camera. I had purchased the medium packing cube and found I will be able to use it as a camera bag. I really like the ability to change the length on the slide. I feel the part of the slide that has the slip proof should be on the reverse side. To use it, you have to turn the releases with the buckle toward your body. Find it annoying, so usually work without using the slip proof feature.

Since I am 6'5", I purchased the Slide XL. Really like the product for my Spring walks in Tennessee. Also, purchased the Capture Clip and PRO Pad which completes the awesome carry setup. Only issue that I have had is that the plate for the Capture Clip came loose on my walk the other day and did not have the Allen Wrench. I know that is why you came out with the Field Plate, but it is tough to shell out another $39.95 on top of what I have already spent. Other than that hiccup, I love the whole camera carry system from Peak.

Best strap I've ever used for my camera. I was a little confused at first because you put the non-sticky part down on your shoulder which seems backwards, but that is because it's to ensure you can swing the camera up easily. I love that there are several ways to attach it so you can use it in the way that works best for you.

I purchased the original version many years ago, and it started to have the devulcanized rubber problem (where the rubber on it starts to "melt"), ruining one of my polo shirts. I thought it was a lost cause, so I tried to remove the rubber myself with a knife and rubbing alcohol. It didn't work. I read online that it was a common problem, and that it was covered by the lifetime warranty. I forgot that the warranty existed! I contacted PD right away and eventually got a new one sent to me. That was awesome. The only problem I had was that my emails went between an AI bot and a live person. At one point, an AI bot took over, and when I asked for a live person, the communication stalled. I had to go back onto the contact form on the website to contact someone again, but it finally happened, so I'm glad. The Slide itself is very comfortable, but the latch that lengthens and shortens the product is not the strongest, and it will still lengthen when locked. All in all, a very good product backed by an excellent company.

This is my second PD Slide, as I need a second strap for my camera bag. I stay with Peak Design because of overall quality and design. And the ocean colour looks amazing.

Easy to put on and take off the camera using the anchors. Works well in various positions using three anchor points (you pick two based on lens weight and length) one on the bottom and one on each side. Strap is well constructed with slippery and grippy sides. I tend to use the slippery slide with a sling style, but can be used on the neck or shoulder. Glad to have it and have used it for lots of street photography. The buckles make it very easy to adjust length. Should last a long time.

I ended up getting the Slide Carryology edition to replace a really old UPStrap that was also cut resistant. The Slide is so much more comfortable than the UPStrap's rubber pad. I appreciate how one side of the Slide is smooth to allow for quick manipulations. If you need it to sit still with minimal slip just flip over the strap. I typically run my Canon R6MIII with heavier, longer lenses and the Slide is comfortable no matter which side you use. Adjusting the strap length is easy with the buckles and disconnecting the Slide itself from the anchors is so easy that you can do it one-handed. I usually don't do any shoots in inclement weather so I can't speak to how the hardware will hold up in wet conditions. So far I'm pretty happy with the Slide and will revisit this review if possible if I experience any issues.

Excellent quality product. Love the design the feel and the fit. Works really well with my Sony A7RV. The camera feels totally safe and the adjustable strap helps distribute the weight. Build quality is excellent. Fells like a quality product. Very pleased.

This is only the second after market strap I've used and I don't think I'll be switching again. This strap is built to last. It's rugged, holds my heavier Canon 5D mark ii well, and is easy to switch between different camera bodies. I love this strap! I highly recommend it both amateur and professionals alike.

I researched quite a bit on camera straps and picked this one. Excellent strap. High quality materials and extremely well made and designed, yet very simple. Slides easily to bring camera into action, yet stays put until you need it. I like this strap so much I just bought a Slide Lite for my binoculars. Highly recommended!

I just bought this slide and it already feels great. I'm very satisfied with the high quality product. A very few minor adjustments I would need for a 5 stars review: The color of midnight blue is not as vibrant as online. The color is closer to a gray than a blue. I would suggest you to choose ocean if you're looking for a blue one and this is what I would do. All connecting parts are made of plastic. At this price, even with a lifetime warranty, I would have preferred lightweight metal.

While I look forward to using the product, I was quite disatisfied with the online sales process. I had received a coupon which I applied to my order. But due to the complexities of the ordering process, I had to cancel and recreate a new order ... the coupon couldn't be applied. So I lost out on my expected savings. Please fix the ordering process ... as I will not purchase from this site until I hear that you have addressed my concerns. I recommend buying from other sites.

Been using the Peak Design Slide Strap since 2018 and I still swear by it. Hands down the best camera strap on the market. Super comfortable, crazy durable, and insanely versatile. The build quality is next-level, and the lifetime warranty just seals the deal. Years later and it's still rock solid. Absolute must-have for any photographer.

I owned a previous Slide version many years ago, but I couldn't bring myself to trust the anchors to keep my gear safe. After speaking with other Slide users and reading many, many reviews, I resolved to overcome my anchor phobia and give the Slide another try. It gives me far more flexibility than my previous "sturdy-but-hard-to-attach-and-remove" strap. Length adjustments are easily made without removing the strap, and different attachment points can be used to accommodate different camera/lens configurations and use cases. I've used the Slide with a 100-500mm lens on a full frame body, and it was surprisingly comfortable slung over my shoulder. Glad I gave the Slide a second chance.

Picked this up on 2025-06-17 and have used several times on vacation and during visit to the Oregon Coast. Appreciate the comfortable 1.8" wide strap and the silicone grip side that keeps the sling from sliding off in shoulder mode and smooth side on sling or neck mode. Can be combined with the capture attached to a backpack to keep a DSLR from swinging back and forth when hiking.

Strap needs more of the grip like what is on the side of the part that you hand over your head as it keeps slipping off. When wearing a rain coat it keeps sliding off your shoulder. The colour and feel is lovely. I throw away the box by accident and wish I could bring it back to WEX. Maybe the next generation will have that extra grip. Unfortunately until this, do buy.

I received my Slide in the kelp color way a month ago and I have never been happier! Amazing quality, and comfortable to use makes for a great all day camera strap! It came with multiple anchors as well so it's even easier to switch between camera bodies!

This strap is durable, comfortable, and the clips hold my Nikon F2 securely. I wish the bottom middle clip connector allowed for me to still use it as a tripod mount because I prefer to wear my camera with that setup, but also use a tripod regularly. It's a small thing to nitpick on an otherwise great strap, and just something to keep in mind, depending on your shooting style.

How can it be? Peak design Slide: The anchor-cord is specified with 90 kg, but the strap is combined with a leather connection which surely will not hold more than 20 kg - static!! No idea about dynamic forces. Here, a video about strength test would be thrustful, when I entrust a 5000.- Dollar equipment to a Peak Design belt. A chain is only as strong as its weakest link!!!

The ultimate upgrade This upgraded version from the original model is now more comfortable and the non-sticky anti-slip pads are no longer a problem. It also puts less strain on your shoulders, even when using large equipment.

Grabbed this to use with my Lumix G95 when paired with the battery grip *and* a zoom lens. Insofar it's too much strap for such a small set-up, but at least the grippy part makes sure that the camera doesn't swing around when I have it over the shoulder like a sling, which is great! I love being able to put it to the side like it's a sling, I'm kinda annoyed that the strap gets in the way of the viewfinder, but I've yet to try the screw mount point so that should alleviate that particular issue. Anyways, the color looks great, and if you're using MFT, I'd suggest this over the Cuff if you're using a larger camera.

I had two straps replaced - one had its anti-slip rubber dropping off and the other had its ends frayed. I was hoping when they were replaced, I would receive the newer model where the ends are made of leather but they were not to be. Hopefully the replacements will not give me the same issues.

Happy with the design and the comfort. But for my camera it was a bit big. Didn't read all the specs. I opted for the smaller slide design. I have a range finder. This strap is built for wedding photographers or nature photographers who have large lenses.
