The evolution of my tiny friend keeps going! When the sound card went bad, it had to be returned to Polk for repair (you guys did an excellent job, by the way). To the time it lost two of its tiny feet (don't worry, she's got new gel-pad iso-feet). And the sound quality with my new receiver has brought out lows in listening. I cannot find anything wrong with this powerhouse!

I have had this sub since about 2016 and it still works like new. I have a 7.1 Yamaha Receiver, and all of my other speakers are the Monitor 2, I have the 70's, 50's, and the 40 series, and I love them as well. I bought them all at the same time as the PSW111 Polk sub, and they are still like new also. I have them in a bedroom, and they will rock you out. I recommend Polk to anyone who ask about speakers. This PSW111 sub by Polk is dynamite in a small package. It will vibrate the walls in my house, and the hole setup is great for movies also. I highly recommend them.

Had this same subwoofer for 12+ years before it recently died. I tried to have it fixed by a local electronics repair shop but he couldn't get it to work properly, so it was time to replace it with a new one. Decided to go with the same thing since it worked well for me for a long time, and puts out nice tight bass.

Perfect size to fit inside my cabinets out of site; ample power for the size and x2...just an awesome experience.

I have bought and installed over 50 of these subwoofers since I found them. They are the greatest. I used to put in the Polk Audio DSWPro550wi for $350. Now I put these in for $167 from my wholesaler. Plenty of sub for all adults. Never any problems. Great Small Sub!!!

Bought one of these used, it was working when I tested with iphone (just to check it was indeed working prior to the purchase, then when I brought it home it was no longer working (blowing fuse again and again) Opened it and saw burnt components on the amp board, called Polk support and they told me the cost of the amp was $180, way too expensive for such part. WIll never purchase Polk product again, used or new... .

I bought 7 speakers and one subwoofer never had a problem until now. My subwoofer has just stoped working. Contacted Polk and nothing. Would think for what I payed for everything I would have got a bit of help. I have took it to someone to fix and been told it wouldn't be cheaper to replace. It's only just over 3 years old. And it's not like I have party's every night with the base full on.

i have the modified soundbar version of the psw111, that came with the9500bt, for the bedroom and it shakes the entire floor of 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. rated at 38hz, it is very misleading as it out performs the psw 125 by a long shot, being cheaper smaller and superior. also, getting the half price from retail made it a great deal.

This little guy puts out some serious bass. Seamless transition with my Polk RM series center and satellites. Can you overwhelm it? Of course - it's an 8" speaker. But it's perfect for smaller rooms and smaller systems. Strong warranty from a reputable manufacturer.

I bought this 5 years ago. It was my first sub moving grudging into Home Theater from the 2 channel full range "Audiophile" approach that I was raised on...and which can rarely deliver the full movie experience as we now all know. First off, I still own it and it does not overpower or unduly call attention to itself almost anywhere I put it. This little "8 inch wonder" is easy to hide about the house and still feel the vibrations, to a point. Just enough I would say. Just deep enough to give real body and accuracy to music. Just enough not to vibrate the neighbors which is a big plus but will also throw vibes into my chest (Mark Stevens "Imagine" 2011 puts it all there!! I believe 32Hz because I have done the sweep and heard/felt it without port noise also a huge plus. However, compared to the 500W 12" sub I recently purchased to compliment my first 4K TV, it's no way up to that task in a movie environment. Sure, it vibrated the couch arms and stayed true to the overall theme but when Hulk really smashed hard, PSW111 did not and I believe it was not designed to. But it got most of the movie right with honest effort at 1/2 full volume. I do not believe in overdriving any speaker system to distortion or thermal shutdown but may have cut this sub short by not going for full output for movies. Moving forward it now stays with my dedicated audio system and even compared to the 12 inch, is more musically enjoyable in the smaller space and will not be replaced in my lifetime in that regard. High praise indeed, I love this sub, the size, the extension, lack of boom, tightness, bottom port floor coupling, just right and so far, reliable every single day!

Its a nice Sub for the price and the best of all its that is a small sub not all the sub are so small like this , i bought this sub for a replacement for a Boston 250 watts and the BOston was super big and it was ok but Polk is a really nice manufacturer.

It tried this out for a few months in tandem with some small Energy bookshelf speakers in a smaller size room. I could never quite get it adjusted the way I wanted it to sound despite repeated attempts at calibration and the bass when audible was muddy and underwhelming. The cabinet was a good size for me and it is not an unattractive subwoofer which are the main reasons I bought it in the the first place but I ended up switching it out and it's sitting in a box in the basement now. I will try again at some point but not anytime soon likely. Note that the other 2 reviews here at the time I am posting are not even for this model of subwoofer so don't be misled by them (PSW110 vs 111).

I've been playing music for one month and let me talk about this sub. Sound great, nice ajust frecuency control, Deep bass is smooth but powerful when it's necesary. Depend of location reforced bass happen but I was trying diferent position into the room. I have a pair polk audio SC65 in Wall speakers and Yamaha Amplifier A-S300 when added sub really begun to played great together, music and movie sound very impressive. I'm very happy with products polk audio company. Congratulations

The user reviews here speak praise of the PSW110: as it should be. I am a music fan, and have little need for 5.1 or 7.1 audio. Two floor standing speakers (Polk of course) plus a subwoofer best suits my needs. My listening space is 520 square feet: very reflective will odd ceiling angles. At 1/2 volume plus the PSW110 will thump your chest. The back of the subwoofer has several adjustments. I found that it sounds best in the 12 o'clock position. Audiophiles know that bigger is not necessarily better. The PSW110 has plenty of punch. Unfortunately, I am going to dock the subwoofer one star for the cheery finish. Yes its beautiful but, does not match the floor Polk standing speaker cherry finish.

I bought this sub to replace a PSW10 that died about a year out of warranty. Given that experience I was reluctant to buy another Polk but decided to take the chance because of the size, features and user ratings of the PSW111. I have a high end 50" plasma TV with good speakers that sound very nice in the mid and upper range but a little lacking in the bass. I bought the sub to enhance the bass. The PSW10 did a good job but the PSW111 is much better. The crossover is much smoother and I don't get the booming that I was getting with the PSW10. The improvement is most noticeable when listening to music. I don't think I would know that the system included a sub just by hearing the sound. The sound is more like a higher quality speaker with none of the booming you so often hear with home theatre systems. So the windows don't rattle on the earthquake scenes but the sound is clear and accurate. I think this is a great sub for a home theatre system in a small room and fantastic for listen to music.
