This improved version of the Profoto Acute B offers significantly improved performance, higher flash capacity - all in a lighter weight package! Profoto uses the most advanced and reliable rechargeable batteries: Lithium Ion Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4.) These batteries include sophisticated electronics and monitoring controls, adjusting output to assure an optimal performance. LiFe cells offer a high capacity, up to 200 full power flashes per charge, 25% more than the previous lead acid version, in a package that is more than 20% lighter.

The integrated electronics also protect the LiFe battery against deep-discharge and overheating ensuring a significantly improved lifespan, up to 4 times that of lead acid. Of course, Profoto always strives to be compatible with previous products, the new batteries are fully compatible with older generators and the older batteries and chargers can be used with the Acute B2. The battery is licensed to travel and has been tested and certified according to UN manual of Test & Criteria, Part III and Sub-section 38.3.

AirS AcuteB2 AirS Li and AcuteB2 AirS Pb, has been implemented with the reliable radio slave system: Profoto Air Sync allowing the generator to be triggered from a distance up to 1000 ft. Ultra-short delay makes it possible to use the fastest sync speeds possible while offering 8 separate channels to control your lights. AcuteB2 AirS/R, model is identical to the AcuteB2 AirS Li with the addition of the PocketWizard 32 channel receiver, allowing both Profoto Air Sync and PocketWizard performance in one pack! At the heart of Profoto lies the Light Shaping System. Over 120 light modifiers allow unprecedented creative control. All AcuteB and Acute/D4 Heads used with the AcuteB2 600 AirS generator are fully compatible with all the modifiers.
