Very Pleased
This is my second SJ4000 purchased from Adorama. I have used the original one for a dash cam in my car for the last 2 years & also for a wildlife cam to get video of deer coming to deer feeders. Both of them will be available for my grandkids to use when they go skiing & for scuba diving when they go on a cruise. It might not quite be GoPro quality, but for the price, I'd say it's very close & a whole lot cheaper
Great Value
I use both GoPro cameras (Hero 2, 3+) and the SJ4000. I can't discern any real difference on my output. In some way, the SJ4000 is better because it has a rear, color display for viewing and setting the camera. With many cameras--not just the SJ4000--I prefer to use an exposure compensation of minus .3 or .7 EV to keep the highlights from becoming overexposed. It's easy to set with the SJ4000, but clumsy with the GoPro.

The SJCAM SJ4000 records H.264 video in .mov type files (720p, VGA (848 x 480), QVGA (640 x 480), and 1080p Full HD). Still photos can be shot at 12, 8, 5, 3, 2 and 1.2 megapixels. Files can be saved to microSD and microSDHC memory cards up to 32GB in capacity.
