Questions & Answers

Ken K : does the purchase include a quick release plate for my canon 5d? or do I have to purchase a separate one for my camera? thanks!!GEORGE S : The tripod indeed comes with a fine quick-release plate that functions smoothly and fastens securely. It's a perfect marriage with my full-sized Nikon with a zoom and my pocket Nikon.Ken K : thanks, how would a Canon 5D with battery pack and 70-200mm 2.8 L lens fare on this tripod? would it be stable enough? thanks again!DAVID M : This is has been a great and very light tripod. This is a great tripod for travel and hiking. If you want a heavy and very sturdy tripod then this is not the tripod. The tripod comes with a ball head and a quick release plate for most camera's. I have been using this tripod with a Canon 5D Mark II and it has worked very well.MICHAEL H : It includes one.
Giovanni A : HI, will this hold the weight of a Canon 5D Mark ii?MICHAEL H : Yes, I've been using it with an EOS 7D and a 70-300mm L lens (a bit over 4 lbs for the whole setup) and haven't had any issues. Hope that helps.JOSEPH S : I use mine for a D7000 and it works great with shorter lenses. With my 70-200 2.8 it seems less steady and I was considering a Slik 824 CF as a possible upgrade. You'll probably be ok with shorter lenses, but if you use a fast zoom you might want to consider the 824CF. Overall Slik makes great tripods and I'm very happy with their quality.JAMES Y : Don't know. I have a Canon T3i. Tripod works great with the T3i and attached zoom lens (70-300)CHRISTOPH A : Sorry, I cannot answer this question. For reasons that had nothing to do with the Slik tripod I had to return it. I can say though that Adorama accepted the return cheerfully and with no hassle and refunded the purchase price. Christoph A.HYUN K : Yes, I have Canon 5D too. It holds So far no problem with this.

Solid Tripod at an Affordable Price

Perfect for landscape work and portraits, and entirely satisfactory when photographing wildlife because it sets up quickly and sturdily.

PORTABLE TRIPOD

Used with a lightweight camera (under 2 lbs.) but the ball joint did not hold it steady, dropping the front end downward each and every time just enough to necessitate re-framing every shot. Easy to use and set up, but ball joint is reason for lower rating.

Absolutely perfect !!

The only Con is that I didn't measure what 57" really is... I'm pretty tall, and didn't' take into consideration that I'd have to stoop over a little.. However, that said, anyone of average height will absolutely love this tripod !! It's light and folds down to almost nothing.. It's everything I'd want in a quality ball head, and the construction seems to be extremely stable and strong.. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another one if needed ..

Great bang for the buck!

I like this combo because you get the tripod and the ball head. The tripod holds my 50D and 70-200 with no problems. The only negative is the 57" height. Not a big problem though.

SLIK's exclusive A.M.T. super Aluminum-Magnesium-Titanium alloy legs make the PRO 340 BH tripod in black very steady. The A.M.T. alloy has a 40% greater strength to weight ratio than standard aluminum. This makes the legs lighter and stronger than the standard metal used in most tripods.

This compact tripod has 4 legs sections to collapse down to just over 20 inches, making the PRO 340 BH great for traveling and backpacking.

The PRO 340 BH makes setting up easy with secure, speed-release leg locks. Padded leg wraps make the tripod more comfortable to carry. 3-position, multi-angle leg locks allow easy set-up on uneven ground or steps. The PRO 340 BH has a gearless center column that unscrews into two pieces converting the top piece into a short column. This feature combined with the adjustable leg angle locks allows the tripod to be lowered to 10 inches for very low angle or macro photography inthe field.

The PRO 340 BH has stable all-metal SBH-200DQ ball head with easy-to-use quick release. _ The all new SBH-200DQ ball head has two bubble levels built in for leveling of the camera for panoramics or just making sure the camera is leveled when setting up on unevensurfaces. An easy to use all metal quick release system makes mounting the camera fast and simple.

The SBH-200DQ head can be removed and the tripod legs have a standard 1/4-20 mount thread, giving the tripod a wide variety of head options. The legs can handle up to 8.8 lbs of properly balanced equipment.
