Good Cinema Lens

Great budget lens. Using it on my Sony FS5 to make a horror movie. Good in low light situations. Easy to focus. I really like the look this lens has.

Really interesting lens for the price, but HEAVY!

I am a Sony a7iii hybrid shooter... I have been watching and waiting for the Sony 24mm f1.4 to come out, but was hoping to save a grand by buying this lens instead... It has pretty much the same focal length (25mm vs 24mm, but who's counting), and the same aperture (f1.4)! That said, I knew as soon as I put it on the camera that wasn't going to be the lens for me... It is HEAVY! For the size, I didn't expect it to weigh anywhere near what it does... If all of my work was commercial, it wouldn't bother me so much... But I'm a backpacker, and there's no way I'd ever carry such a heavy lens into the wilderness. Simple as that... So I'd have this awesome lens with the specs I want (minus auto focus) for a fraction of the price... Seems cool, but if I leave it at the house or in the car, then what's the point? It's a cheap lens... I don't need to drive a tank over it. Make a lighter plastic version with the same glass and I'll buy it, despite the lack of durability... Until then, I returned it and am waiting for the Sony 24mm f1.4.
