I have a 2-bay Startech eSATA RAID enclosure connected to my MB Pro via this adapter; it stays connected all the time and works flawlessly with Time Machine to hold backups. Very fast, which helps with backing up a lot of hefty virtual machines. No errors, no problems in Snow Leopard with the latest drivers from Sonnet website. There was an issue with 1-drive HDD enclosure from Startech; sometimes the system became unresponsive until I powered off the enclosure. Not sure if that was enclosure or adapter problem, but 4 stars just because of that - this is not cutting edge technology and it should work flawlessly by now.

Very speedy download time on SxS cards. Compact, durable frame, and still lightweight. Would recommend for anyone.
