Sony MDR-EX10LP In-Ear Stereo Headphones - White

I replaced these headphones with the same unit. I expected a Sony product to be reliable. This is the last Sony earphones I will ever purchase. A complete disappointment for both units.

I bought these at an airport in Denmark, hoping that a pair of earbuds from a well known brand would be able to play some music from my phone. My demands aren't all that high really. All I want is a clear sound, not interrupted by cracking in speakers and other noise. I do not need an absurdly high volume or massive bass. Previous headphones and earbuds in the same price range have served me well (apple, koss) and I therefore know that my demands weren't too high. These earbuds however, is in no way satisfying. They feel like a pair of cheap earbuds from a $1 dollar store, and they sound almost the same. There is noise everytime anything as much as touch them whilst they are plugged in my phone, and the sound is distant, as if I it came from another person with the volume far too loud rather than directly into my ear. I am completely and utterly disappointed that a 'quality' brand such as sony even as much as stock this trash, and if I had the possibility, I would have demanded my money back.

Please note that I have never written a product review and I have never had any significant problems in the past with any type of earbud. But these headphones are awful and should not be bought by anyone. Here's a guarantee for you on these headphones - they will fall out if you are doing anything more active than sitting still in a chair. And, they will fall out over and over again. However an upside to that is that you can jam them super hard into your ears, to the point of pain, and know, with the utmost confidence, that they will most likely not get stuck. In fact, they will pop out within 30 seconds. The sound quality on these is nothing remarkable. It's not particularly good, nor is it particularly bad. But you may not get the chance to fairly judge the sound quality as you may be spending more time trying to get the earbuds to stay in your ears. What makes them marginally better than free airline headphones is that they are not as ugly. I do not recommend that anyone should spend money on these earbuds, even if they are 90% off at the dollar store, you should keep your 10 cents.

I've had a pair of these since Christmas and now it's July. Hey are very comfortable, sound good, and stay in your ears. I use them almost every day and as of about 2 days ago they have been excellent. On the downside, after a good 6 months with these awesome earbuds, they did break- when I plugged them in they were significantly quieter than they had been previously. I think that 6 months is very good for earbuds- I went to replace them and the ones I bought (that weren't Sony) broke after a day. I just went out and bought myself another pair of these in white and I'm using them now, they're great! Thanks Sony!

These are the best low price headphones for everyday use. They do not break, the sound is average, and best of all they cancel out noise! Not all noise is cancelled but it is as close as I have ever come. Obviously these would not compete with top of the line headphones but if you are just an everyday person who needs basic headphones, these are the best you will find.

I am on my third pair of this tiny buds. The right earbud keeps failing. Yes I know that $15 is a small price to pay but sheesh come on. If this pair fails I am DONE WITH SONY! What do I want? A working pair of buds that is all!

I have had the same pair of earbuds for five years now and use them daily. Can't beat the price! If you looking for quality sound, this is the right choice- very full sound, awesome bass, and cancels background noise pretty well. I'm about to buy another pair because I am tired of all the disappointing (much more expensive) other brands of earbuds I have tried previously. Highly recommended.

Great earbuds...I've bought Sony's before and I was looking for a set for under $25. There are quite a few brands that offer them under that price but when you look at the specs, Sony has them all beat.... Example, compare these Sony's with the Koss *The Plug Classic*. The sound difference is between night and day.....You'd expect Koss, being a company that is supposed to be known for sound equipment, to have a good product, but this Sony has them beat hands down for the sound, and they're the exact same price.

I found these for a good price at Marshalls. I expected these to be good quality earbuds coming from Sony but i'm really disappointed. The left bud has a sort of ringing sound whenever i'm listening to something and they both hurt my ears even when the volume is low.

These earbuds are comfortable, light, and sound great; when both earbuds work. I run / workout daily and these last maybe a month or two of daily use before one of the earbuds stops working ( usually the left ). I have a pile of ~20 dollar earbuds trying to find something at fits and sounds as well as these, haven't found anything yet... Just yesterday the left earbud stopped working in my most recent pair ( less than a month old ). Think I may finally give up on them all together...

Well, I don't know about other people who clearly don't know how to take care of their headphones, but I've been buying these headphones on and off for about three or four years now, and they've never led me astray. They last AT LEAST three to four months, and one pair even lasted me over a year! Not to mention here in Canada The Source offers a warranty on them for cheap that gives you TWO FREE pairs after your initial purchase whenever you want. Now, to the actual quality of these headphones: for me, they fit perfectly, the sound quality is above what the cost should provide (those "Skullcandies" or whatever they're called cost way more than these and sound bad and usually break quickly--a pair I bought lasted a month maybe), three interchangeable sizes of earbuds to fit your personal preference, many different, sleek colors, the connecting piece is fitted at a 90 degree angle so it is perfect for mp3 devices (doesn't hurt the connecting piece as much if you're like me and like to wrap your headphones around your iPod), and as I mentioned before, they last a long time if you know how to care for your headphones. That is to say, all you really need to do is not bring them out into the really cold weather a lot (this really only applies to those in certain parts of Canada or northern Europe / Asia where it goes below -20 degrees Celsius sometimes on a daily basis in the winter time) and not pull on the wire too much as this can dislodge the connecting piece from the wire (sorry, I don't know the proper terminology, if there is any). In conclusion, these headphones are so worth the price and good that I had to come on here and leave a review after buying them for the fourth or fifth after about three-four months. Not too bad for headphones that cost way less than the competitors'!

I bought these in September. A month later, there was no sound coming from one of the earbuds. I had it changed at a sony store, as the warranty was still valid. Though, less than two months later, same problem. It is bad quality. I liked these earbuds because the sound was quite good for the price, but definitely, with such a low price, you don't have the long term quality that should come with it.

Pro: cheap price Con: almost no bass at all, I'm not sure if I got a defective pair, but the bass quality on these are extremely poor. You get what you pay for I suppose, but I would have expected more out of a pair of sony earbuds, even if they were $9.99. In summary, very disappointed with my purchase, I would return these if I could but can't because of hygienic reasons.

I've had to buy 2 pairs in 2 1/2 months. Headphones are supposed to last around 6 months, and one pair of these didn't even make it 2 MONTHS before one side died. It'd be really nice if I could get the $30 that I spent on these stupid things back (AHEM). Don't waste your money on these headphones. I know I never will again.

just purchased, had the MDR-ED12LP and these fit better. feels to have very good sound blocking for in hear headphones with passive sound blocking. Wish the cord was a bit longer at maybe 60 in but is not too short. Has usable length. I also feel the right angle kink in the jack Hope unit keep up over time as I am a little hard on the cords of headphones over all a good buy for entry level in ear headphones.
