As the title says; these headphones are my new favorites. The sound quality is so much better than many other brands and the bass is oh so good, very clear and yes- very extra bassy but not too much to where it will ruin your music. The comfort on these are literally supreme and I choose these every time over my old favorite headphones.

I have bought these earbuds twice and they have never disappointed me. I lost my first pair and have owned my new ones for the past 2 years. I think these are the best budget earbuds that you can buy on the market if you need a pair for daily use. The sound quality is way above average and just right. The only issue is the features and that's because they do not have that many. A mic and a pause button, which could be improved but otherwise a very great product. Fit comfortably in my ears as well

I've been using these for 18 months now. Sound is good, fit is good, build is good. But the mic stopped working after about 2 weeks of use, which is a real pain if you're hoping to use these to take calls or participate in video meetings. Warranty returns was too much trouble (I would have had to pay postage both ways and wait without headphones) so I had to eat the cost and get another pair with a mic. Not very pleased, Sony.

These have the best sound quality of all headphones I’ve used to date, and I love them for that, but they always end up breaking within the year. I’ve bought these twice, because the first time I thought I broke them somehow, but it happened again the second time around as well. I have not bought these since because I don’t want to keep replacing them, but I would buy them again in a heartbeat if they were made to be more durable because the sound quality is just that good.

I have a problem with it. I connect it to my iphone but there is no bass. After i set my phone to bass booster, there is still no bass. Is there anything i need to do to have better bass sound?

Sound is excellent, squarely in the back of my head, nicely mixed. Only problem is that I can't get the mic to work with my Pixel 3a phone or my iPad; can't talk to my Google assistant with it, can't call. Downloaded the Smart Key app, and couldn't find this model number. Really wanted to use the mic for phone calls, so will keep trying. No troubleshooting I can find so far for this issue.

These sound amazing, everything else to me is a downgrade after listening to these. I've recommended them to countless friends. They've even survived the wash a few times. If there was one thing I would change about this product, it would be to add volume control. It's unfortunate that they don't have it but that's my only nitpick.

Hi, I bought a pair of these and absolutely loved them, but they ended up breaking within weeks. Disappointed that the sound was great but the quality of the material was so fragile that it broke so fast.

I used to buy Beats By Dr. Dre for the past 15 yrs or so. Beats are great but these knock Beats out. Way better than beats!!! The overall sound on these Sonys is greater and the bass is like being in the clubs. I bought 2 pairs. I keep the 2nd pair in the unopened box as backup. Gonna stack up and buy more for the crib cause the price on these babies is nice. You can buy 3 pairs of these for $10 bucks less than 1 pair of the beats.

Purchased these headphones for working out (after reading reviews) about a month ago now and I loved them up until a few days ago. Bass is definitely decent, they are fairly comfortable and available at what is I guess, a reasonable price point. I now cannot wear them for more than 5 seconds without them pausing/skipping to other songs at random and it has caused a great deal of mental suffering as well as a minor injury to my right shoulder from ballistically throwing them at the gym wall and other large hard bodied objects.

It lives up to its name- extra bass, but its not something everyone would enjoy. Mid and high frequencies compromised in favour of big muffled bass but with this price range I am happy with the sound. It broke after 5 months but was able to use one year warranty, so i am happy.

I've owned several pairs of these headphones. I keep purchasing them because they are otherwise very good and meet my standards for sound quality. However, I feel it is worth mentioning the one huge issue I have with them. The plug. Rather, where the wires enter the plug housing. After several months of use the connection(s) inside begin to fail. It is a constant problem with these, from my experience. I modified my new pair accordingly. If sony were to improve the durability of the product I would gladly rate 5 stars.

I bought this product over 5 years ago and still working like brand new! I would buy these again 10/10. They have been through the washer more times then I can count which hasn't phased them. They are tough, durable and work well with my rough life style in agriculture.

I have had these headphones for nearly four years and they still work perfectly. I work at a body shop and they are constantly getting dirty and beat up but never fail. They have been through the wash and still work fine. Sure they look gross but they still sound great.

Chose this model while looking for a very discrete, good quality earphones that I could use for traveling. Included in the kit are a nice pouch bag and 4 pairs of silicone earpieces. The 3.5 mm terminal is 'L' shaped and thin. The cable is long enough to reach the side pocket of cargo pants comfortably. A slider is provided to adjust the aperture of the 'Y'. The earphones fit very properly. The Right earphone is identified with a very discrete red dot, but no tactile marks are provided. However, once you remember the control button (the 'multi-function button') is on the Left side, this is no longer an issue. This model delivers superior clarity during phone calls, which is something not properly advertised but that is immensely appreciated, if you like me spend a lot of time on the phone for work and during traveling, and need proper sound cancelling. For calls, the button on the remote controls answering and hanging up with precision, but it can't control volume (I didn't try the Smart Key downloadable app). However, where this model shines is for music playback, where the extra bass features become quickly evident. Using these earphones with the apple music on an android phone, finally allowed me to use the equalizer functions and notice differences between settings that simply were impossible to appreciate with other in ear headphones I had previously tried. The sound is very rich, subtle sounds are reproduced clearly (i.e. the clash of wooden drumsticks), and the bass is just perfect in a way that they don't choke the higher sounds. Amazing. Finally, these earphones have something else: They're really comfortable. They are unnoticeable even after prolonged day long use, making them a perfect choice for long flights and transits, either with your smartphone streaming service, or a Walkman.

I've had a pair for almost 5 years. They still sound just as good as new, but the jack is starting to cut out from constantly moving every day. These are very comfortable and drown out just the right amount of background noise. Will purchase again.

2 months using this product and serves me well achieving a better sound experience and the bass is absolutely incredible, without any doubt sony is good in sounds and design, however the built quality of this product is not good as I expected considering the price tag that is equivalent to the (Apple) beats earphone this is 2 steps behind.
