The only problem I have with this case is the bottom portion seems to cause the Macbook to overheat. I put the entire case on the macbook which I literally just removed from the macbook box and it was already overheating because of the case. I removed the bottom portion and I haven't experienced this ever since. It has a bit of cloudy-ness to it. Other than that it does what its supposed to do.

This case is amazing, literally protects my MacBook. Yes it can be hard to get in it's really worth it. I got the black clear one because I'm very simple and I think it looks nice on my Mac book. If anyone wondering I got the Mac book 2020 and it fits perfect

great for protective shielding for my computer. having four sisters, things can get dropped easily and break, but I know my computer will be safe with the protective shell.

I loved this for the duration that it was in tact. My fan doesn't keep my laptop cool because the case covers it. The case has giant cracks on the bottom. And the warranty isn't helpful at all because there is no insurance that I will actually get a case after I send it in. If I do send it in, I will have to wait a maximum of 10 days to be told whether or not I'll even be approved, so my laptop won't be protected during that time. This is a pretty expensive case for it to crack the way it did.

I was a bit hesitant after seeing some reviews say that the case was loose or cracked easily. But I've found neither to be the case (ha)! It fits well and though the color is a bit more blue than aqua, I like it a lot! Would definitely recommend as it keeps my computer secure.

I love this case! It's clear which will allow me to decorate with stickers. It's durable - I've already dropped it a few times with no damage to the case or the laptop. It's thin enough to not add bulk and sturdy enough to protect my laptop. Thank you Speck!

I'm conflicted. I've been a longtime fan of Speck for years (any new technology I get is immediately covered by one of Speck's reliable cases) but I have to admit I'm not a fan of this one, unfortunately. I purchased the Speck Macbook Smartshell 13" case in the color "Wildberry Purple." The pictures online portray it as a sort of matte fushia, but it actually is more of an ultraviolet color in real life, and not extremely matte either. (Though the color does come across a little warmer than it actually is in the pictures I've uploaded.) The hue of the color is not a huge issue though. The main thing I was most disappointed by was the fact that on day one, after staying inside all day on a couch, a bed, and a chair during this period of mandatory confinement, somehow tiny scratches have already developed on the front cover. This is the first time I've ever had something from Speck scratch so easily on the first day, and I'm still trying to figure out how it could have even occurred since the laptop was only ever resting on a table unused for the majority of the day. Another thing I was disappointed to find was that the case does not fit flush against the laptop at all - in fact, there's so much give to the case that I wonder what would happen if I were to drop it. The unnecessary give is distracting and I feel it ultimately hinders some of the protection the case could provide to the laptop. Overall, not super satisfied with the case, and I'm glad I got it on sale and didn't pay full price for it. I'm still a Speck fan, but this case was a bit of a dud.

The case fit my laptop very loosely (yes it was the correct case for my laptop). Ended up returning. Seems as if the case lacked clips around some edges to securely fit.

This is my second Speck cover for the same device. Not because it broke, but because I dropped my computer and the edges cracked on the case. The case protected my computer! It seemed that the case still would work and not fall off when traveling and using - BUT I did not want this case to be no longer available for my three year old computer. Hence - my second case.

Great case! I've been using Speck macbook pro cases since 2010 - highly recommended. Easy to pop on and off and slim enough to not add bulk to the computer. Cleans well and protects the computer from everyday wear and tear (in backpack, etc).
