The drop protection is excellent and the case is on the slimmer side, but the "grips" are non-functional. The case still slides around everywhere.

This is the best ipod case I have found so far but it does not go on easy like the description. It goes on rough and ruins your screen protector. I haven't found one screen protector that can survive this case being put on.

The case is great! Serves its purpose for my 6 yo's iPod. Wish it was for the 6gen and didn't have the little circle in the lower left corner. Still fits perfectly. Speck is our favorite brand I bought 3 more in different colors.

I love these cases. They are extremely protective and always comes in a color I like. I have one for my iPod, iPhone, and I just bought another one for my mom's phone. I used to buy cases from OtterBox, but Speck cases are cheaper and, in my opinion, are much more protective. Thanks for always keeping my apple products safe, Speck!

I got one of these cases along with my iPod Touch 5G shortly after it came out 6 years ago. The iPod was used kind of like a smartphone for the first 4 months or so, and became (for the most part) a music player after I got an iPhone 5 (which also had its own Candyshell because I liked the design and feel of the one on my iPod). As a music player, the iPod wasn't used in environments such as gyms, but mostly in vehicles (cars, buses, planes, etc.) or during runs or walks. The iPod has fallen to vehicle floors and flown out of my pocket during physical activity over the years, but the Candyshell has kept it looking like new. I still use the same iPod today with the same case from 2012, and the case looks completely trashed. However, take it off, and the iPod looks identical to how it looked when it came out of the box back then. In fact, it flew out of my pocket onto rough concrete while I was sprinting after a bus last month. I thought the case, after taking so much damage over 6 years, would have lost much of its integrity, but it still did its job extremely well. I don't think an Otterbox would last as long as a Candyshell, based on some I've seen. While the Candyshell for my iPhone 5 was purchased because I liked the Candyshell design and feel, every case I've purchased or received after that was a Speck, solely based on the quality, protection, and longevity I have experienced from my iPod's Candyshell.
