Very sad about this product. I read the poor reviews but still purchased because this brand has been good in the past. I have had my laptop for 2 years without a case on it and don't even have a scratch. The first day with this laptop it started cracking. I am not hard on my laptop at all. Don't buy! Not worth the money.

This product began to crack around the edges after a few weeks, cracks eventually spreading all over and it eventually fell off my MacBook. Useless protection and useless product.

Had the case a few weeks and started with a small crack in the cover. Now, there are two long cracks along the center and corners. I do not abuse the case and it getting worse each time I open and close the cover. This is unexceptable and poor quality.

The quality of this case has noticeably declined over the last few years. I replaced one that had become scratched and cracked due to extreme use but the new one is clearly of much lower quality. The fit is poor and comes loose very easily. The clarity of the plastic is poor and looks cheap. I also purchased a case for my wife's MacBook Pro and it is at least as bad. These will be my last Speck purchases.

Don't buy this product, it is a waste of money and I'm sure you could find another case that is more affordable and won't break. I work from home so I don't even travel extensively with my laptop and wanted something just to keep it in good shape. Not even a week in and this case is cracking and pieces of falling off of it. I emailed the company but they never got back to me. It's unfortunate because I've been a Speck consumer for a handful of years, other cases have been very reliable but this is pretty disappointing. I won't be purchasing anything from them ever again, not worth the investment.

I got this MacBook case as a gift, and thus have no way to return this, as my relative did not keep the receipt. However I have many phones, etc. and have used other brand name cases. This case has been most disappointing. I will have to toss it and get another case. I will not be buying a Speck case again.

Corners crack ( all 4 corners of the top AND bottom and have spider webb cracks) and little debris particles are trapped under the case. I had this replace 1 with the 1 year warranty. Same thing... Only reason I would rebuy is for vanity and not liking the look of the vents on other cases...

12" MacBook. Edges often pop up on the top cover. It's never come off completely though. Otherwise its protecting the laptop well. In a perfect world wish it were lighter + stronger. Different material to achieve that sweet spot perhaps.

I purchased this Speck case for a new laptop that I received for Christmas. I had a Speck case for my previous laptop and was very happy with it. However, I could not be more disappointed with this case. After about 2 weeks, it started to crack at one of the corners. I hadn't dropped it or remember subjecting it to any hard wear, so I didn't understand what had caused the cracks. Within the next week, all the corners started to crack and pieces of the case were coming off. By the time I looked online, it was beyond the time limit for returns (I think it was 30 days?). I also saw other reviews where people shared similar issues with cracking corners. Because of this, I will not buy another case from this company in the future.

I used this case on my 12in MacBook, but it started cracking on the corners and one of the little rubber feet came out, so it didn't rest even on a flat surface. I contacted Speck and they were really quick and great about replacing my case, but within a week that case started to crack as well. I use my computer daily, but am very gentle with it and keep it in a sleeve as well.

This case cracks at nothing, the black rubber things underneath comme off so easily and it's easy to lose them. I never dropped my laptop, it's always in this plastic case and a laptop sleeve. I carry it around in my arms, not a school bag where I could drop it on the floor and crack it. It's not worth buying.

I ordered this case thinking it would do just the job I needed: protecting the corners and keeping my Macbook from getting scratched. About 3 weeks after I got it, the corners on the case began to crack and splinter. I complained to Speck and they sent me a new one for free. It did the same thing about 2 weeks into the use. I am not hard on my computer and when I take it to school with me I slip into its sleeve and then into the laptop pocket of my backpack. I'm disappointed in the quality of this product and would not recommend it.

I am an avid Speck buyer. I use their cases exclusively for My phone, iPod, and my iPad. When I bought my MacBook, I immediatly ordered this case. I am VERY disappointed! I have owned the case for two months and the corners are already cracked. I was fine with this, because the case was still fitting great and the cracks weren't that obvious. Today I took the case off to clean underneath it (you could see dirt under the clear case which is to be expected with a clear case) and the corner of it cracked. It cracked all the way to the black grip on the bottom. Now the case won't stay on the laptop and I'm going to have to replace it. I am very disappointed with how easily this product broke. It's never been dropped. All I was doing was CAREFULLY taking it off to clean it. I expect more from a Speck product.

This is a really bad product. I have iPad and IPhone cases from Speck that are great. Love them. However this product is so weak at the corners that it stared to break within a few weeks after I bought it. I treat my computer really well and also have the Flaptop Sleeve for extra protection and still the corners are falling apart and its not even 1 year old. They need to beef up the corners or add some additional strength to the corners. Right now I see small pieces of the corners falling off and eventually this case will be kind of useless. I bought it to protect the computer which includes the corners. What good is a case that exposes the corners?

Good fit, but after very little use, corners have all chipped off. I will have to replace the case, but will not buy Speck. Very expensive for the product. I only use my laptop on a flat surface (I don't throw it into a backpack or anything), so I don't even know how the case would get so damaged. I also never take the case on and off to prevent further cracking. I had a Speck case for my previous MacBook Air and also had to replace that case due to cracking. I have learned my lesson!

I have had this product for about 6 months and there is not one corner left on this case that is not cracked off. I have never dropped this computer in this case and i take good care of it and it still continues to crack. The rubber pieces on the bottom are also coming off for no reason.
