It's okay, not great
Not very expensive, and made of strong materials. The ball head is not very smooth, which is why I'm giving it 3 stars. Would work to secure light weight items to a cold shoe mount. A good extra item to have in your bag 'just in case.'

This is trash and thats where I put it. Just bought this and it easily screws off and wasn?t sturdy. I couldn?t trust it to mount my monitor on anything.

Small rig, big payoff!
I love the Small Rig products, and this one is no different. Using the cold shoe and a number of other Small Rig attachments, I've been able to turn my modest Sony RX100 into a full-blown remote 4K production rig. Plus, everything is totally changeable and adaptable for different situations. Think of it as Legos for your photo setup.
Well built, solid, at a fair price. Small Rig is three-for-three with me.

SmallRig Holds Up Big!
I use the smallrig to hold my video blog to my tripod. It allows me to adjust the angles.

More than a hot shoe.
This little accessory is useful and versatile. Not only can you mount it with a hot shoe mount, you can unscrew it and attach it to a 1/4” mount and use it on a light stand or anything else that attaches via 1/4” mount. Definitely worth it because it exceeds what I expected. I bought 3 just to have in my kit.
