i initially bought this tablet just to test the waters on a mid level tablet without investing a lot of money and i felt that a samsung product would be a good bet. not disappointed at all, for the money spent, this tablet far exceeded my expectations. the only drawback is the storage capability being limited. other than that, it's a great tablet.

i've had my galaxy a2 8 inch version for years. it is without doubt the best, as in convenient, tablet i've ever had. but it's way past the time for a high spec 8 inch update. everything is now 10 inches. fine for most things, but i've got a high spec 10 tablet and an ipad pro, i don't need a hulking great 10 inch tablet. but i would like an android 8 inch replacement for the now old but still serviceable a2. i want something the size of a paperback, that's ideal for reading ebooks and has more power than an amazon fire or kindle. at this rate i'm going to be buying a ipad mini as it's the right size, but only because samsung have given up on higher spec 8 inch tablets and only churn out under powered cheaper versions or expensive 10 inchers. unbelievable!

I have had this tab and the prior version. I love this tech by Samsung. Only down side is having a single speaker. I own quiet a few Samsung products and with the improved smartthing and the smart home integration abilities, I can control everything from my tab or my Galaxy 8+. I watch a lot of movies on my tab as well and have never been disappointed with the quality of the products. I have dropped it numerous times and have yet to break it.

I’ve had this tablet for just over a year (Xmas 2016) and the battery is done. It will not hold a charge and it takes forever to charge this thing. Keep in mind I hardly use the tablet, so it should be in like new condition. It’s a simple design and for the most part user friendly. But I just have to say it does not compare to the Apple products in my home. I would say this was my last Samsung tablet purchase but unfortunately my mom specifically asked for one this past Christmas. I’m hoping and praying it doesn’t fail her like the S2 has failed me. I’m so frustrated I’m sure I’ll NEVER purchase another Samsung tablet for me or my family. And of course the warranty expired this past Christmas. Thanks for nothing Samsung!

This is the 4th Samsung tablet I've owned. (Tab 2, Note 10.1, Tab Pro and now the S2. From the Note 'til the S2 I've been hoping that Samsung would give me a tablet that would allow me to have two user installed apps on a split screen for research and note taking. And I "still haven't found what I'm looking for". The screen is fabulous, the speed is almost instantaneous and the battery life is fantastic. I'm just disappointed that a company like Samsung hasn't provided their loyal customers with this option at this late date.

For me this replaced the iPad mini. It is super! I prefer Android products because they have a back button. It is lightweight and colors are vibrant. Happy with my purchase.

This is a fantastic tablet with superb performance. The screen resolution makes watching videos a pleasure. I love being able to screen share with my Galaxy S6. The only thing on my wish list is an upgrade to Nougat.

Nice little device. Great for watching/listening to the news in the morning. Fits on the bathroom counter and travels well from room to room as I get ready. Handy size is better than trying to view apps on my smaller iPhone screen and I don't need to set up my laptop for quick use. Great for viewing recipes in the kitchen. I wanted this model with better pixels, so this one is pricey.

I cried when my first tab S died, I had it for 3 years and used it 24/7. This one is just as good.. Thank you for another great product. One feature I miss is being able to anchor my favorite folders for quick access.

I have been a Google 7 user for the past 5 years. The units have progressively gotten slower and buggy. I have waited for follow on products; none arrived, none in sight . When I saw the specs on this tab, I decided to give it a try. So far I am pleased with the S2 8 , some features I am used to appeared missing, untill I found the access was was somewhat different thsn I was acustomed to. I particularly miss is the ability to "screen cast" to Google's Chromecast dongle (perhaps I have not found the way just yet). The size is a little larger than I am accustomed to (now the display on G7 seems cramped and dull), but still portable enough for my purposes. I like the memory size and capability to expand. It would be nice to have the choice of downloads and screen shots directed to the 128 gig addon memory (saving time and effort). Upgrading the OS to current level would be good. The book cover seems robust and secure. Using the camera is difficult. I suggest making a closable opening in the front cover. The rear cover opening is nearly useless without a front opening .

Bought this for my dji drone, because of the speed, resolution, and storage, that's all great, but when I hook my drone to it via usb cable the device won't recognize it and conect, if any one could contact me from Samsung on a fix , I would appreciate it, otherwise great tablet

This is one capable little computer. I am not easily astonished but I am absolutely astonished by all it can do. Remember the "Universal Translator" in Star Trek? With the Galaxy and Google translate, I can talk to this thing in English and have it speak Spanish (or almost anything else) in return, and I can take it anywhere. It will keep me entertained for at least the next year.

I have owned every Samsung tablet in the past. The S2 tablet has to be by far the best tablet I have ever owned. I will continue to only purchase the Samsung Galaxy S series from now on.

Tablet works well and was a good value but I would not buy it again. The inability to remove or permanently disable the guest account drives me nuts and makes me wish I bought an iPad. I do not recommend this device if you need to keep others from using it.

I like almost everything about this tablet as far as battery life, speed, and screen clarity go. The only thing I don't like is that it didn't come with, and doesn't recognize a Samsung adaptive fast charger.
