This is a good entry level pair of binoculars. the optics is good and the build is excellent. However, is not quite as sharp as the Nikon Monarch 5. The Monarch 5 is 10x42 but the size is almost identical to the Steiner 10x32. The Monarch 5 is a little more expensive. I've never had a pair of Steiner's before.

We used Bushnell binoculars our new Steiners are much clearer and focused. We're happy with our purchase.

Really hard to see through these. You can’t have your eyes directly against the cups and have to hold them a bit away from your face to get a clear view.

Hefty, well built binos that are unmistakably high quality. Covered in shock absorbing rubber armor and waterproof. Convenient neck strap attachment points and attached (but removable) objective lens covers — very handy. One standout feature: foldable eye cup sun shields. This is a rare but very useful convenience. Only gripe: the quick focus mechanism is a tad too touchy. Even slight movements of the knob will degrade the focus, though it doesn't tend to lose focus unless bumped.

I was looking for a nice one such as a Nikon Monarch 5, or a similar one and they are moderately expensive. Binocular with good optic design and quality doesn't come cheap. When I saw the deal from Adorama, I hesitated at first because this model is not popular; not many sites are selling this, and I couldn't find any review for this particular model. I wasn't even sure when I got it and tried it first. But after learning how to adjust the view and focus and be familiar with it, I don't regret at all. I took it with me for two hiking trips in the CA state parks, and it's worth the money. The feel and build are solid. The optic is very clear and bright. I was also not so sure about choosing between 8x vs. 10x due to shakiness. It is not that bad to bother me or get me dizzy.

I love these binoculars, they are very well made. They produce high quality viewing in a compact and rugged case. These are replacing an older pair of Bushnell's and I am perfectly happy with the quality and craftsmanship of these Steiner binoculars.

This unit is compact, easy to carry and works perfectly for bird/critter watching in the woods and beaches. It is very reasonably priced too.

I was pleasantly surprised with these. Comparable to my Leica binoculars. The only issue is the eye relief is a little tricky. Just rotate the glass in a circular manner a little and it pops into view. I also love all the included protective caps which stay attached to the binoculars.

Have had these only a week, but am very impressed. They support the Steiner reputation for rugged, high quality binos. Large field of view, bright and vibrant image, with very fast manual focusing.

I Have Only Received These Binoculars Yesterday, So I Have Not Really Had A Chance To Use Them Much, But They Are Very Well Made And Have Substantial Weight To Them, Can You Tell Me What Are The Four Plastic Fittings That Were Supplied In The Box For? They Are Not The Same Size As The Clicloc Fittings.

Ordered these not knowing if I was going to like them because of size, I could not find any in our area to tryout and personally handle them. Talked to a Steiner Rep. and assured me that I would be pleased, if not I could return them. After receiving them and had a chance to go out into the field hunting with them they are great size compact enough to carry under shirt, fits in the pickup cubby hole easily, very sharp and clear, great product.
