I do. The lens features great IQ throughout its range and was the star of a Grand Canyon South Rim photo trip.

I love this lens. Took it to the Grand Canyon and resulted in great shots on both my much older D7000 and my D500.

I am a family/clan photographer. I am still testing this lens for different situations and conditions but so far I am very happy with the results. I have used Tokina lenses back in the early 80s when we still have to wind the films in the back of the camera, so I already know what kind of quality I am getting with the lens plus all the technological improvements along the years. I am not young anymore; I can say Tokina is a brand I will not forget. Like mentioned in previous reviews when using this lens and a flash is needed, you cannot use the built-in flash, you have to use a mounted flash because built-in flash will cast a shadow especially on closer shots.

I have a number of lenses - this is my favorite. The zoom range (18 to 44mm equivalent) works for the vast majority of my photography, giving me very wide angle to almost normal. This lens is relatively small & light. The f/4 aperture is fast enough most of the time - faster zooms are larger & heavier. The lens is pretty sharp. I have sharper lenses, but they are either primes or very expensive & heavy zooms. The 77mm filter size is the same as my larger Nikon lenses. However, I wish this lens had VR.

This is the equivalent of an 18mm ultra wide on an FX body. Very little plastic in this lens. The pro, all-metal construction is a plus. It feels like "quality" in your hand, and produces excellent images.

Works great for real estate photography, nice and wide but still maintains a crisp photo.

This is a wonderful lens. Built like a tank. The Manual to Auto Focus is not a switch which takes a bit of getting use to but it does not hamper the lens. It is heavy. Highly Recomend

I trusted Tokina because I am happy with my Tokina 100mm 2.8 macro. I am also extremely happy with Adorama...they are always a genuine pleasure to deal with. The 12-28mm is just great to use...I am very happy with the images from this lens. I have the Sigma 10-20mm, which I do like, but this gives me 8mm more on the long side. Very glad I made this purchase, and glad I bought from Adorama!

As a (semi-retired) architectural and interiors photographer, I need a good wide-angle lens that has little or no color and image distortion. Having used this lens on two dozen or more "shoots", I can attest to its doing a superior job. (I like it so much that I have two of this same model.) The one thing I would note, is that to get the best photograph possible, I always take multiple RAW exposures (either 5 or 6 identical but 1-stop-different). Of course I use a tripod and of course I shoot all the shots at the same ƒ-stop (ƒ14 or higher). When editing my photos, I have found that almost without exception the photo my camera denotes as +1 exposure is the best shot for brightness and preservation of detail. As such, if you use this lens expect good things. But, when you can, take your photo(s) both at 0 and +1 exposure. There's a lot of glass in that lens and, as you know, glass eats light. So, I'm just saying ... Best regards.

This lens fills a pressing need: a walk-around lens that covers ultra-wide to near-normal focal lengths, supplementing my existing normal and telephoto primes on the D7000. Sharpness and functionality are excellent.

I am pretty much happy about the performance for landscapes. When I bought it I was not planning to do dark sky photography and hence I did not care about F4 being the maximum aperture. I almost always use a tripod. But for astro photography F4 is really not good enough. Had I planned better, I would have gone for 11-16 F2.8 lens. Again, it depends on the preference - if someone is looking for a wide angle zoom lens for landscapes, this is a pretty good fit. The zoom range really helps too. I tried to return this and buy 11-16. But adorama declined the return since I had already filled the tokina warranty form (initially I was not planning to return this and I did not know filling the warranty form was going to get the denial!!)

When I got this lens I was very excited to finally have an ultra wide. I have been shooting with a 35mm and 50mm prime for a while. Unfortunately the lens focuses relatively slow and does not seem very sharp. Anything between f4 and f8 had very poor corners. As you stop down between f8 and f22 you get a somewhat sharper image however I was never able to get anything real crisp. I took about 200 photos in the city and had roughly 20-30 that were actually sharp and worth keeping. I am returning this lens and purchasing a used Nikon.

Bought the lens just before a trip to the Holy Land. Very smooth AF and zoom in/out. Fit & finish exscellent. Worked wonderfully for landscapes in Isreal. Excellent for when at religious sites as there were large crowds I didn't want to include in my pictures. Able to get the wide view even when close to the site

I bought this lens to use on my Nikon d7000 and the lens was superb. Colors, focusing, ease of use, etc. were great. I returned the lens because after using it for a couple of days, I really don't want to be that wide. I already have the 18-55 and found that range to be more in tune with my likes. If you want a fine ultra-wide zoom, get this one for less than $500--it works great and gives great results.

This is a excellent lens for Nikon DSLRs with 24mp sensors. I use this for mostly landscape, night, video, and 4K time-lapse photography in the best natural lighting conditions possible with a tripod. I shoot it with JPEG and RAW for optimal processing. The image quality is excellent, much better than I expected for a low cost lens. And it's best at f/8 to f/11. F/4 aperture is ideal for wide angle video use, and the lens performs well in low light for long exposures. The build quality is tops. Even has a rear rubber gasket to keep dust out. Also, the Nikon D3300 has distortion correction that works with this lens. Makes processing even easier. Cons: at f/4 the chromatic aberration is like a cheap 35 or 50mm prime lenses. Some may complain about the push pull focus switch, noisy focus, and no f/2.8 aperture. For me, the AF is dead on accurate, and fast and quiet enough for wide angle photography. And I like the pull ring focus switch. At f/2.8 the chromatic aberration of any Tokina wide angle will show fringing in daylight or long exposure. Not an issue for me, as I shoot mostly for depth of field f/8 or smaller aperture. Plus, Lightroom does a great job managing the CA. And, I use the 28mm zoom end way more than I do the largest aperture f/4.

I have only had the lens for two weeks but I bought it last minute before a trip to Disney because my normal lens was damaged. It is a great lens for lanscape images or creative up close shots to include everything. I have used this lens mostly stopped down to f/8 or greater and it is very sharp, and quick to focus. I would recommend this lens to other photographers.

I use thus lens for Environmental portraits and landscapes. It is built like a tank and the range is perfect for walking around. It has a little color fringing wide open in really contrasty light. This goes away when stopped down.

Excellent sharpness. I have used this lens for several landscape projects and have not been disappointed with the results. Well built, and quick auto focus. Well worth what I paid at Adorama.

For shooting real estate, low distortion is a plus, also having a correctable distortion is even better. This lens pretty much has both. After using the Tamron 10-24 and the Nikon 10-24, this is the best of the bunch overall. It's as sharp as the Nikon and doesn't have the unpredictable distortion of the Nikon. I did shoot around 400 projects with the Tamron and 40 with the Nikon before trying the Tokina and am happy I made the change. I have used the Tokina on about 20 projects in the last couple of weeks and really enjoying the performance. The build quality is very good, smooth operation and the lowest price of the 3 lenses. About the same CA as the other 2 lenses noted here, it has a little better reach, and auto focus is quick (which is not a big deal for what I do). One great advantage with this lens is the clutch for shifting from manual focus to auto focus. You can set the focus in MF on the lens, then move the clutch to AF mode and put the camera on MF mode....if you accidentally move the focus ring now, it won't change focus on you. And as always, Adorama did a great job in shipping and customer service!

Sharpness is great and agree with Ken Rockwell review. F4 is a little slow for me as an indoor available light lens, but just use flash (must remove hood to avoid shadow) or put on my 35 mm f 1.8 on my d7100. Going to manual focus requires a stiff pull on anterior focus ring, harder than I had expected, miss nikon AFS here. Really nice zoom range and plenty wide at 12mm on d7100 to place a foreground object in a broad context (what I like a wide angle for )

This is a great lens for landscape photography. The lens focuses quickly and is sharp at both 12MM & 28MM. It also does well in fairly low light conditions.

Sharpness is very good. !2mm wide is very good with minimum distortion. There really aren't too many good reviews. I might add sharpness is very good being hand held. Probably much sharper on a tripod. I do landscapes.

The Tokina 12-28mm f/4.0 AT-X Pro DX Lens for Nikon is a wide-angle to standard length zoom lens with a maximum aperture of f/4.0. It is compatible with Nikon DX cameras and provides a 35mm focal length equivalency of 18-42mm. This compact lens features a one-touch AF/MF clutch operation to switch back and forth between auto and manual focus, for manual focus slide the focus ring back and for autofocus allow to the ring to rest in the forward position. A newly designed GMR (magnetic precision) AF sensor is mounted close to the AF motor and provides fast, accurate AF. The lens' SD-M (Silent Drive-Module) means that autofocus responds smoothly and silently, which is ideal when shooting HD video.
The use of SD glass (ultra-low dispersion glass), which emulate fluorite glass in performance, aims to eliminate chromatic aberration and aspherical lens elements in both the front and rear lens groups correct distortion and also helps to minimize aberrations for sharp imaging throughout the zoom range.
