"Perfect lens for DX cameras"

I am using this with a Nikon D7000 and could not be more pleased with this lens. I shoot a lot of friends and family, often indoors with available light. I tried a Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 but on a DX camera it was difficult to use indoors, I always had to keep backing up which is difficult to do with running twins. Plus the 50-150mm focused closer which is a big plus. The focal range of the Sigma 50-150mm is the perfect focal range for the majority of photos I take. It is lighter and easier to use hand held than the larger fx lens. It has a nice solid feel to the construction and fast auto focus. I have found my lens image quality to be very sharp, even at 150mm. The only minor complaint is that it would be nice if it had a tripod collar (minor since it doesn't need it).

I got this lens to use for shooting wrestling events and it has the perfect focal length for indoor sports. The size and weight are perfect on my D200. It is not as heavy as the 70-200 2.8 but still has a solid build. On the second day of use one of my wrestlers dropped the camera on the hard wood floor lens first and it still functions perfectly.

Great product for the money

Got this lens to use for portraits and I must say the it is great. The focus is super fast, and the colors are wonderful. My only concern is the weight. When I put this on my D700, it can get pretty heavy.
