I am thrilled with this piano. Years back, I owned a beautiful baby grand but unfortunately had to sell due to a move. I've recently decided to get back into playing and wanted a quality digital piano that would play like an acoustic. This is the one. I didn't need or want the bells and whistles of other styles, but the P115 has just enough extras to enjoy. I use the recording option a lot when practicing new pieces... just record one hand and practice the other. The accompaniment features are also fun to play around with. I'm looking forward to using my IPad to choose features and that was a further reason to buy this particular piano. I can't say enough about the quality of the P115, which is incredibly high for the price. I have an older digital from 25 years ago, when I paid four times the cost of this one. I looked at many for the last several years before I bought and the P115 offered the real piano experience I was seeking. The keyboard touch is just right and the sound is so authentic. I use the speakers, which have a rich sound, or my headphones when practicing and don't want to disturb the household. Both experiences are wonderful. I play at home, where the piano sits on the optional black furniture stand. It's compact and looks great, and is completely sturdy. I would not hesitate to use the P115 in a performance, it's that good. Beginners will find the P115 as a perfect piano to grow into and won't stop your progress when your playing improves. Longtime players will appreciate the 88 keys, the subtle touch, and the lovely sound. You just can't go wrong with this piano. It's truly one of the best purchases I've ever made. Thanks to Yamaha for continuing a real piano line for folks who want to play a real piano.

Good digital pianos are not cheap, pretty much across the board. Even a cheaper, comparable piano is only maybe ($) less. So yeah, good digital pianos cost a bit. I knew the list of features and quality I was getting after demo in store, and it arrived in perfect condition with no complaints. It's not a cheap investment, but I'll probably be learning and playing on this piano for the next 10 years.

I got this to help with composing. The keys feel amazing, like with a regular piano; it's a huge step up from a keyboard that have spring loaded keys. And the sound is great too. I'm still exploring, but I strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a piano replacement. Adorama shipped it promptly.

The shipping was really fast! I think it came in 2 days (plus it was free shipping). Also, the piano is exactly as described. Good buy! Cheapest price so far compared to other stores I researched.

Purchased because of features and discovered this keyboard is simply awesome! At this sale price I was concerned it might only be suitable for home practice. Was I wrong. The weighted keys are a pleasure and the selection of voices are stunning and the sound produced amazing. I tested it with a keyboard amp and it is simply awesome. Portability and quality of sound will keep this one busy on small and full band gigs!

Great piano, always wanted this one particular model. The only thing I wish they gave with it was a stand, but it is alright.

After doing a lot of investigating, we decided on the P-115. We haven't been disappointed. The kids have been playing it everyday since we received it. The keys feel just like the piano I had when I was a kid. I will recommend this device to anyone that is looking for a keyboard.

Piano is amazing and for the price you get at other stores you get really good headphones and the average stand/bench kit. The stars are really the piano and headphones and are worth more than the bundled price just by themselves

Sounds good. But it's harder to press the keys than on a piano. No real complaints, though, since the price was right at ($) for 88 keys.

Be it beginner or hobbyist or semi pro, even pros are using such piano as handy way to transport instruments and bring it on stage easily. Weighted keys are awesome, sound variety are superb and function keys are very smart. I bought this for my 10 year old daughter and I am pretty sure this is going to last for 10 more years from her beginner days until she matures her skills. All in all a great buy.

This piano is exactly what I wanted...great graduated weighted key action, excellent sound, terrific build quality, simple setup with some nice features, not overloaded with extra stuff that I'll never use...I like it!! Highly recommended!! Also recommended is a Knox Audio keyboard stand...very stable.

Great piano with a lot of features, though speakers are a bit dull (compared even to p45 that I tried earlier).

We use the keyboard for church venues. Very light weight makes this easy to transport. The tablet app makes changing to custom layers and splits very quick in live performances. This is much better than a built in small screen. The L/R audio out with ability to turn off internal speakers is necessary for our venues where external PA and monitors are standard. But having built in speakers is very nice for quick rehearsals. Excellent sound and value for the money. Only improvements wanted would be more voices.

This is a fantastic instrument. When deciding on which digital piano to buy, I considered sound quality, the feel of the keyboard, and the overall design of the unit. This piano excels in all three areas. The quality of piano sample is great--the best (in my opinion) of all of the digital pianos in this price range that I tried. The speakers sound quite good too. The weighted keyboard feels pretty close to that of an acoustic piano. The design is very minimalistic and simple. I appreciate the fact that Yamaha kept the number of buttons to a minimum. This contributes to a better looking instrument. In addition, it is very compact--making it a perfect fit for those who need to take it with them to perform or for those without the space for an acoustic home piano.

I'm really enjoying my new P115. This is my first digital piano. I bought it be able to play around with GarageBand and is working beautifully for that purpose. I like that it uses USB output to MIDI host as that it is the more natural way to connect to my Mac or iPad. I have no use for the legacy MIDI connectors. The iOS Controller app is nice -- a vastly better way to control settings than pressing keys, and I *like* that the piano itself doesn't have some kind of LCD display. One problem is their is only one USB connector. This means I can't connect both the piano to both my Mac and the Controller app at the same time. But perhaps I'll be happy using GarageBand on an iPad. Finally, I am really happy with the feel of the keyboard. I have a used Yamaha acoustic piano, and the P115 keyboard feels at least as good.

Cannot use the product without MIDI. Yamaha Piano Controller on the iPad is fantastic! Again, where's the MIDI? If not, why not as it is standard for all keyboards. PHM

The P-115, Yamaha's follow-up to the industry's best-selling digital piano, now has its own app for iOS. An elegant touch screen controller that makes getting to the features of the P-115 simple. P-Series has long been known for its compact and stylish lineup of products. The P-115 is a new model that offers improved piano performance, an enhanced speaker system, simple app operation and more.
Piano quality only possible from Yamaha
The Pure CF Sound Engine is the result of years of piano-making history combined with state-of-the-art sampling technology and expertise. Yamaha is the industry leader in digital piano technology and you can hear this in the sound of digital pianos that utilize the Pure CF piano sample. The P-115 includes the sound of Yamaha's renowned CFIIIS 9' concert grand piano and is faithfully reproduced, allowing for incredible dynamics and expressiveness making Pure CF-equipped digital pianos worthy of the Yamaha name.
Authentic to the touch
Yamaha's GHS (Graded Hammer Standard) weighted action has heavier touch in the low end and lighter touch in the high end, just like the hammers inside an acoustic piano. Great for the aspiring pianist, practicing on the GHS action builds the proper finger technique for when the time comes to perform on an acoustic piano. Plus, the matte finish of the black keys are less slippery when playing for extended periods of time.
Enhanced sound system will be music to your ears
The tweeter position has been improved in the P-115 to be in line with the ears of the performer. Melody lines and treble passages are brighter and more expressive as a result. This new configuration ensures that the instrument sounds sparkle and come alive across the entire tonal range.
Groove along in performance or practice
The P-115 has on-board drum rhythms for practice or performance. There's a variety of rhythm patterns to choose, from basic rock to shuffle and swing beats. Use the rhythms to add an element of fun to your practicing or simply use them as a virtual drummer for your performances.
Professional reverb makes a wide range of Voices sparkle
The P-115 is loaded with a variety of rich Voices, from pianos to electric pianos, organs, strings, bass and more. These Voices can be enhanced by four different reverbs that you can adjust to your preference.
Recital hall: Clear reverberation, as heard in a medium-sized hall used for piano recitals
Concert hall: Bright, bold reverberation, as heard in a large hall where orchestras perform
Salon: The relaxed reverberation of a large room suitable for chamber music
Club: The crisp reverberation of a live music venue or jazz club
Your personal dueling piano partner
You can sound like two players all by yourself using Pianist Styles. Simply play the chords in your left hand and the Pianist Style will transform them into lush accompaniment patterns. This leaves your right hand free to play other melodies and chords or add musical flare to your Pianist Style accompaniment. On the P-115, Yamaha has carefully selected 10 types of Styles for easy, piano-like accompaniment.
Simple operation using the free Digital Piano Controller app!
Their special free app, "Digital Piano Controller," allows you to control the many functions included in Yamaha digital pianos with your iPhone or iPad, for even easier operation. Voices, rhythms and other settings can be selected while looking at the screen, making it easy to enjoy new functions with ease. You can also save your favorite settings for quick recall at any time. Find new ways to enjoy your P-115, using iPad functions that only a modern digital instrument can provide.
Power-up and get connected
AUX Out jacks allow audio to be sent to an external amplifier or powered speaker for powerful performances during live events, parties and a wide variety of situations. These professional 1/4" jacks connect without disabling the Built-In Speakers when using the headphone output. The USB to HOST port allows the instrument to be directly connected to a computer or iPad.
