Too close to monitor top

Overall I?m very happy with the product. The cage doesn?t cover the monitor, but it comes right to the edge.This makes it, so my finger can?t touch the top menus of the screen without difficulty.

Solid

This piece is solid. I haven't quite found the right use for the 15mm rod clamp on the back yet, other than an easier way to relocate the stock viewfinder. It does stick out a ways in front of the camera body which means I need to remove the plate when I pack the camera down small for travel.

This piece is much more sturdy than the supplied mount. Plus it provides a multitude of additional mount options (screw receptacles).

The EVA1 Top Plate has a built in Z-Rail perfect for adding the Zacuto Top Handle or Recoil Handle. Or if desired, you can reattach your Panasonic camera Handle to the plate. The top plate has a multitude of 1/4 20 and 3/8 16 screw holes for mounting various accessories. At the back of the plate is a 15mm rod port for a Zamerican arm or other 15mm accessory- perfect for relocating the Panasonic LCD on an articulating arm.

If you need to attach top rods to your rig, you can add 15mm Z-Locks to the top plate for top rods. If you opt to use camera handle and need to mount an Axis for a Gratical EVF, you can mount the Z-Rail Axis mount to the front of your top plate and it will give you a 15mm quick release rod port to mount the Axis Mini, EVF Mount.
