I have been a long time Zacuto user. Recently I was asked by a friend of mine to DP a shoot that he was directing. It was also a project that became the basis of a product review for his gear related web site so I decided that it would be a good test for the new version of the Recoil Rig and the new Trigger Grips. I also decided that I would create an overview video on the product if I liked it. Well, well, well... I thought that this would be a minor upgrade in usability from my prior experiences with their products and my own Recoil Rig that I have used with my C100 for a long time. I was wrong! We use the rig with the C100, C300MKII and the C200 and I found it to be a HUGE upgrade from the prior system. For me it's mostly about the Trigger Grips. They make everything faster. I can get the camera on and off my shoulder and into shooting mode in much less time than ever before. And, the system is very comfortable to me as a shooter. I like it so much that the Recoil Rig with Trigger Grips is going to be my next rig for shooting. Check out the article about the project we used the system on and also my video about the rig... https://digitalfilmmaker.net/zacuto-recoil-pro-trigger-grips/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AsnAXdxVevU&index=19&list=PLJr_wxggDGudwaLKeZ3dVzyuwQgOIKq3K -Jem Schofield of theC47 Producer/DP/Educator

As a C300 mkII owner/operator, I really love the flexibility of shooting handheld or on a tripod or monopod, or even on a medium sized gimbal. It's a wonderful, professional camera in a compact package. So rigging up the C300II on a big shoulder rig has never really appealed to me. But this kit is different. It's versatile and the trigger grips move out of the way instantly when you don't want them. So you can go from shoulder to handheld to low ground-level shots quickly. And you can pack away the whole rig into a standard production bag, fully assembled. After using the Recoil Pro with Dual Trigger Grips, I think this is the way to go for C300 mkII shooters. You get the benefits of shoulder rig operation, like shooting steady footage with a long lens, while not sacrificing the ability to shoot fast and remain nimble. This kit comes with the grip handle relocator and top handle unit, so the only thing you'll need, if you don't have one already, is the VCT baseplate to put on your tripod. I also recommend Zacuto's C300/C500 monitor mounting kit, which enables you to use the stock clamshell monitor that comes with the C300II, instead of an EVF like pictured in this kit. Here's that item: https://store.zacuto.com/mounting-kit-for-c300-c500-z-finder/ And if you're interested, I wrote a longer review along with BTS photos here: http://www.geardads.com/zacuto-recoil-pro-trigger-grips/

The Canon C200 Recoil Pro with Dual Trigger Grips is a shoulder rig designed specifically for the Canon C200. This is a Next Generation Recoil rig designed for optimal balance and comfort when shoulder mounted or on a tripod. With lenses and cameras being similar weights, the balance point is where the lens meets the camera body. In a shoulder mount rig, the balance point needs to be directly over your shoulder which puts the camera behind you. The Recoil rig adjusts for that balance point and relocates focus, monitoring and camera controls forward, creating a lighter, shorter and properly balanced rig.
VCT Pro Baseplate
The VCT Pro baseplate is compatible with all cameras including Canon EOS C-series, Sony FS5/FS5 Mark II and FS7/FS7 Mark II, AJA CION, BlackMagic, Panasonic EVA1, Panasonic Varicam LT, RED cameras, Arri Alexa and Amira, DSLRs, Mirrorless and more The VCT Pro has a built-in, curved shoulder pad and an Arri M6 rosette for accessories and grips. It comes with quick-release, extendable 6.5" rods at the front and lightweight spaced quick-release rod ports at the back. The v-wedge tripod connector is compatible with VCT14 tripod adapter plates or use the 1/4 20 and 3/8 16 screw holes for direct connect to your tripod quick release plate.
The red sliding top plate offers easy adjust-ability for lens changes, removing your camera and balancing your rig correctly on your shoulder. This sliding plate combined with a double screw track offers 10" of camera balance sliding range. You can quickly release your camera from the rig by sliding the red plate completely off and using our VCT Pro Dock to quickly transition it to a tripod, slider, etc. The lightweight, adjustable rod mount is set far back in the plate, offering plenty of accessory-capable area under the camera lens. This allows you to position your camera further back on the plate, keeping the balance point of your rig directly over your shoulder. The sliding track of the rod riser offers 25mm of vertical adjustment.
The shoulder pad portion of the VCT Universal is set as far forward on the plate as possible, also to maximize your accessory capable rod area and aid with balance. The VCT Universal Baseplate is the core of our Next Generation Recoil rigs, designed for balance and comfort for every camera. Keeping the camera low prevents already tall cameras from being too top heavy. With our VCT, the distance from the bottom of your camera to your shoulder is just 3/4 inch.
Rosette Dual Trigger Grips
The Rosette Dual Trigger Grips is a dual handgrip system that relocates the any rosette based camera/lens grip to a comfortable handgrip position for shoulder rigs and gives you a sleek comfortable wooden handgrip on the left side. The Dual Trigger Grip system slides onto 15mm lightweight rods. The Rosette Trigger Grip works with the Canon C200, Canon 18-80 lens grip, Blackmagic URSA, Panasonic Varicam LT or any other Rosette based camera or lens grip.
Our trigger grips are the most adjustable grips available. They allow for single-handed 360deg. rotation with the simple press of a trigger. The two handles rotate independently of each other. Flip them down for a low, rock-solid handgrip. Raise it up for more of an Aaton style position. Or quickly flip them both all the way up to set your camera flat on the ground or for storing in a case. Or stagger them if that is more comfortable to you. The length of the handgrips can also adjust by loosening a red lever and pulling the grip out or pushing in.
C200 Top Plate
The C200 Top Plate has a built in Z-Rail perfect for adding the Recoil Handle. Or if desired, you can reattach your Canon Handle to the plate. The top plate has a multitude of 1/4 20 and 3/8 16 screw holes for mounting various accessories. At the back of the plate is a 15mm rod port for a Zamerican arm or other 15mm accessory and a grooved mount for the Canon C200 LCD. The Canon LCD can also mount to the built in Z-Rail if needed. If you are using the Zacuto Recoil handle, the C200 LCD can mount into the cold shoe of the Recoil handle with the addition of the C200 LCD Mount. If you opt to use camera handle and need to mount an Axis for a Gratical EVF, you can mount the Z-Rail Axis mount to the front of your top plate and it will give you a 15mm quick release rod port to mount the Axis Mini, EVF Mount.
