The Baader Planetarium T-2 Maxbright Mirror Diagonal is a high-performance optical device, boasting the proprietary Maxbright all-dielectric mirror coatings. This advanced coating process delivers an impressive 99% photo-visual reflectivity, ensuring superior light transmission for clear, bright images. The unique coating system from Baader Planetarium has been meticulously optimized to minimize light scatter and maintain mirror flatness, ensuring exceptional image quality.

Constructed with a zero-expansion mirror substrate, this device retains its true 1/10 wave (p-v) flatness across the entire oversized 35 mm (1.38") mirror surface. This feature enables the mirror to function optimally in front of the image plane without image degradation or astigmatism from a warped mirror surface.

The Baader Planetarium T-2 Maxbright Mirror Diagonal also boasts extreme coating hardness, making it highly durable. The robust coatings, harder than the glass itself, ensure longevity and maintain reflectivity throughout their lifespan. They can be cleaned with regular care without the risk of scratches, ensuring the mirror maintains its high performance over time.

The T-2 System Design of this mirror diagonal allows it to be customized to suit your specific needs. Its input and output T-2 threads seamlessly integrate with the comprehensive range of Baader Planetarium Astro T-2 System components. This versatile design allows it to be configured for installation in 2" or 1.25" focusers, compatible with all 1.25" eyepieces and many 2" eyepieces.

The T-2 Maxbright Mirror Diagonal is also the ideal diagonal for use with the Baader/Zeiss Giant Binoviewer, replacing the standard prism diagonal. Like all Baader Planetarium products, this mirror diagonal exhibits superior mechanical quality and finish. The all-machined aluminum housing supports the mirror at the correct location and at a precise 45-degree angle, maintaining the collimation and performance of your optical system. Even the smallest exposed lips are sharp V-threaded for optimal stray light control, enhancing your viewing experience.
