The perfect mounting cell for eclipse photographers

AstroSolar film is the standard for white light solar filters. This mounting cell has two great advantages for eclipse photographers. The wide flange shades your camera avoiding overheating. The external 3 rubber bumper attachment is easy to remove and replace quickly without disturbing your aim. This is a great advantage for totality in a total solar eclipse. Highly recommended

How can you elevate your astrophotography to the next level The answer lies in the 2" Round H-alpha f/2 Highspeed Filter with LPFC Mount from the reputable brand, Baader Planetarium. This high-quality, durable filter is specifically designed to meet the intricate requirements of ultra-fast astrograph optics, including Hyperstar and RASA systems.

Unlike conventional narrowband filters that often result in significant transmission loss due to the strong Central Wavelength (CWL) shift, this innovative filter features a CWL-preshift that perfectly aligns with f/2 to f/3 optical systems. This ensures that even in extreme cases, the CWL does not shift out of the Full Width at Half Maximum (FWHM), thereby maintaining the integrity of your images.

The FWHM of this reliable filter is optimized to deliver maximum contrast, even with the typical line broadening associated with fast optical trains. This makes it an effective tool for capturing high contrast images of emission nebulae and other celestial objects.

For the first time, this filter allows astrophotographers to utilize fast optics effectively, showing a dramatic improvement in image quality when used between f/1.8 and f/3.5 compared to regular sets of narrowband filters. With a large filter size of 50.8mm, it allows a wider field of view and more light to enter your camera, making it ideal for low-light applications.

In summary, the 2" Round H-alpha f/2 Highspeed Filter with LPFC Mount is an essential tool for any serious astrophotographer looking to capture the night sky in the H-alpha wavelength with unparalleled clarity and detail.
