Shopper : Is this diagonal considered "Correct Image" or is it a "Star" diagonal ?HARRY H : It is a very good correct image diagonalPATRICK Z : If the description states erecting prism then it probably corrects the image and make it right side upJOSE S : Greetings, diagonal prism for reflecting light at an angle but does not image correction, to image correction requires two prisms which is the technology used in the binoculars. Have a clear night. Josejim b : The diagonal would be considered a star diagonal, the diagonal is a 45 degree mirror that makes the viewing position of the eyepiece easier to look through, like sitting down position. An erecting prism would be a mirror that flips the image upright such as landscape viewing so the object is not upside down. Erecting prism is not needed for space viewing just landscape type viewing. Hope this makes sense. Jim
