Be prepared to capture the sun's brilliance with the 100mm AstroSolar BDSF 3.8 White-Light Digital Solar Filter for Telescopes. This high-quality, durable solar filter is a product of Baader Planetarium, a brand renowned for its innovative and advanced astronomical equipment.
This solar filter is designed with AstroSolar PHOTO Film OD 3.8, a material that has proven its effectiveness over the years. This film allows for the shortest exposure times, making it ideal for digital videography and the lucky imaging technique. It's capable of almost "freezing" turbulences in the earth's atmosphere, providing you with clear, crisp images.
Unlike many ready-made filters that stretch the filter material like a drumhead, compromising image quality, the AstroSolar BDSF 3.8 White-Light Digital Solar Filter is designed to be mounted entirely stress-free. This ensures it performs like a high precision plane optical window, even under temperature changes.
The filter's large 100mm size allows more light to pass through, providing a clearer image. It's important to note that this filter is intended for digital imaging, not direct sun observation.
The AstroSolar BDSF 3.8 White-Light Digital Solar Filter features a temperature-compensated cell. The film is cemented onto an injection-molded ring with the same thermal expansion as the AstroSolar Filter material itself. This free-floating film-carrier ring is held onto the aluminum frame with a fiber-reinforced plastic ring, ensuring maximum security against breaking of the cell. This temperature-compensated cell allows the AstroSolar filter material to maintain its excellent optical quality at any temperature, from -30deg.C to +50deg.C.
Experience the difference of a truly effective solar filter with the 100mm AstroSolar BDSF 3.8 White-Light Digital Solar Filter for Telescopes.
