The perfect mounting cell for eclipse photographers

AstroSolar film is the standard for white light solar filters. This mounting cell has two great advantages for eclipse photographers. The wide flange shades your camera avoiding overheating. The external 3 rubber bumper attachment is easy to remove and replace quickly without disturbing your aim. This is a great advantage for totality in a total solar eclipse. Highly recommended

Explore the wonders of the night sky with the 50x50mm Square f/2 High-speed H-alpha Filter, unmounted, from the reputable brand, Baader Planetarium. This high-quality, durable filter is specifically designed for the intricate needs of ultra-fast astrograph optics, including Hyperstar and RASA systems.

Unlike conventional narrowband filters that often result in significant transmission loss due to the strong Central Wavelength (CWL) shift, this innovative filter features a CWL-preshift that perfectly aligns with f/2 to f/3 optics. This unique feature ensures that even in extreme cases, the CWL doesn't shift out of the Full Width at Half Maximum (FWHM), maintaining the integrity of your images.

The FWHM of this reliable filter is optimized to deliver maximum contrast, despite the typical line broadening associated with fast optical trains. This makes it an effective tool for capturing high-contrast images of emission nebulae, truly bringing out the beauty of the cosmos in your astrophotography.

For the first time, these filters allow the use of fast optics in a truly effective manner, showing a dramatic improvement in image quality when used between f/1.8 and f/3.5 compared to standard sets of narrowband filters.

Whether you're an amateur astronomer or a seasoned professional, this 50x50mm Square f/2 High-speed H-alpha Filter is an essential tool for capturing the stunning details of the night sky.

Baader Planetarium Filter Features

  • High-speed narrowband filter, specifically designed for ultra-fast astrograph optics
  • Features a CWL-preshift, perfectly aligning with f/2 to f/3 optics to prevent CWL shift out of the FWHM

  • Ideal for high-contrast emission nebulae imaging with fast optics between f/1.8 and f/3.5
  • Unmounted 50x50mm square filter, suitable for use with telescope or camera lens with a filter thread
  • High-quality, durable product from the reputable brand, Baader Planetarium
