The perfect mounting cell for eclipse photographers

AstroSolar film is the standard for white light solar filters. This mounting cell has two great advantages for eclipse photographers. The wide flange shades your camera avoiding overheating. The external 3 rubber bumper attachment is easy to remove and replace quickly without disturbing your aim. This is a great advantage for totality in a total solar eclipse. Highly recommended

For astrophotography enthusiasts and professionals seeking to capture the ethereal beauty of emission nebulae, the 50.4mm Round f/2 High-speed Oxygen-III Nebula Filter, Unmounted, is a game-changer. This high-speed narrowband filter has been meticulously designed to meet the exacting demands of ultra-fast astrograph optics, including the renowned Hyperstar and RASA systems.

Unlike conventional narrowband filters, which often suffer significant transmission loss due to the strong Central Wavelength (CWL) shift, this filter boasts a CWL-preshift that perfectly aligns with f/2 to f/3 optics. This innovative feature ensures that even in extreme cases, the CWL does not shift out of the Full Width at Half Maximum (FWHM), maintaining optimal image quality and clarity.

The FWHM of this filter has been finely tuned to deliver maximum contrast, even with the typical line broadening associated with fast optical trains. This optimization allows the filter to effectively handle the challenges of high-speed optics, resulting in images of nebulae that are rich in detail and contrast.

The 50.4mm Round f/2 High-speed Oxygen-III Nebula Filter truly shines when used with optics between f/1.8 and f/3.5. Compared to standard sets of narrowband filters, this filter offers a dramatic improvement, enabling users to leverage the full potential of fast optics for high-contrast emission nebulae imaging.

In essence, this filter is not just a tool, but a gateway to exploring and capturing the mesmerizing wonders of the cosmos with unparalleled clarity and contrast.
