These connectors remain active as long as at least one battery is installed, offering consistent power supply. However, please note that the D-Tap connectors will not function when the camera is powered solely by a block battery and no onboard batteries are installed.

When using smart batteries, the Sharkfin module reads and combines the data from SMBUS and reverse SMBUS batteries, providing a summarized information stream to the camera. This data is conveniently displayed on the camera's user interface, LCD, EVF, and other display points, allowing for easy monitoring of battery status.

Installation of the Sharkfin Battery Bracket is a breeze, thanks to its tool-less design. It features four M3 thumbscrews and two locating points for direct attachment to the back of the camera. For additional tightening, a hidden allen wrench is included and can be neatly stored on the plate for future use.

To protect the pogo pins during transit, a protective cover plate is included. Please remember that voltage will be present on the pogo pins when a battery is installed, so refrain from attaching a battery if the bracket is not installed on the camera.
