This is an amazing program, and, once you get used to it--which isn't so difficult--you'll be amazed at it's power. It can make good shots look great; great shots, fantastic.

My wife and I shoot weddings, senior portraits, and sports throughout the year. This program has all the necessary adjustments to take our images to the next higher level. Loaded very quickly and also loaded the new version 5.4 immediately without any prompting.

I use this primarily for photo editing. The interface is great and the software processes changes quickly. I used to use Photoshop which is still fine for many things but working with RAW files with Lightroom is easier once you know what you are doing.

The best is the adjustment brush. One less reason to use Photoshop.

My photography teacher told us to shoot in RAW and get Lightroom 5 so at first I grumbled about having to learn a new system, since I had progressed from Elements 3 through 11 but after purchasing Scott Kelby's text on Lightroom 5,I am starting to enjoy the new features of this program. With the new downloads, it opens Sony RAW, which my version of Elements 10 did not. I can also use LR 5 on my desktop and laptop so I'm glad Adobe doesn't make us buy two copies of their software.

Lightroom is an amazing product but Adobe needs to listen to its users more and address their issues.

It's not for nothing Lightroom is the best photo organizer on the market. The new features are a great addition and add so much more to the abilities of post processing of photos. I had LR for a long while now and I still discover features and abilities that help me organize my collections. With the discounted deal- it's a MUST HAVE.

I love lightroom 5. I find it a bit confusing to organize the files, but I love it for the editing ability of the raw files. It is the best out there and I would not not use anything els.

Have only started to use it and although it will take some time to learn some of the advanced features, it appears to have everything I need.

I'm switched from Nikon Capture NX2 to Lightroom 5. What a difference in speed and features! Yes, CNX2 does render more authentic color and has in-camera settings modification like WB, D-Lighting, Picture Modes, etc. But Adobes noise reduction and sharpness adjustments look far better to me. And Workflow? I don't think there's anything better out there better than LR5. I use Nik Software's plug-ins - so I don't miss the control points (or U-points) that are available in CNX2. If you're considering moving away from CNX2, or for that matter any other tool, don't wait, just do it. With the added features in ver 5 of LR, 99% of folks out there would not need to use CS6.

I used to shoot in RAW and add colors later, this is an awesome tool to bring it more and more natural colors.

I have used LR3 for years and this is a very nice upgrade! Just very user friendly and integrates seamlessly with PSP. Great product and price!

I'm not a professional or anything, but this program is an absolutely must-have for any photographer. Shoot in .RAW, import to Lightrooom, Develop, Hang beautiful pictures all over your house. It's incredible. 100% worth it.

Fairly steep learning curve when you begin, but once you get the hang of it (lots of tutorials on the web), it makes editing and organizing photos a breeze!

I primarily use Lightroom 5 for personal and travel photography, but I have also used it to edit my photos from christenings and weddings. I am really impressed by the program's ability to dig deeply into the shadows and highlights and pull out details in my RAW photos. I also use Aperture and what I like about that program are the organizational tools. That said, Lightroom 5 has more tools and effects to meet my editing needs like lens barrel distortion and chromatic aberration corrections. I am very pleased with my purchase.

I wish it had Adobe Photoshop CS5/6's content aware!!! Instead, it has advanced spot heal which works easier than regular spot heal (pretty much like clone).

Lightroom does a good job overall of developing RAW files into TIFF files. It does a better job than Digital Photo Professionl that came with my Canon camera in recovering bright highlights. The catalog feature works well for the most part, but sometimes retures results on text searches that I have not been able to figure out. For instance a search on keywords contain "Red" has in addtion to the expected results, returned pictures where I cannot find the letters "RED" together as a word or as a piece of a word or anywhere together. I cannot explain what is happening there. The newest version, 5, is not a lot different than version 4. it does have the radial filer while allows for creative vignettes and the healing/clone brush now can do shapes other than round and acts much like the Patch tool in Photoshop. It still lacks the funcionality that the Spot Healing Brush in Photoshop has. The new Upright tool works pretty well, but I still prefer the Manual tools. This newest version currently has a bug that version 4 did not have. That is when importing photos, if you right click on a folder to creat a subfolder, it will take you to Windows Explorer where you can crate the sub folder. However, it will not show up in the list of Destination folders in Lightroom until you leave the Import module and return to the Import Module. If you use the Into Subfolder option above the folder list, that works fine.

Adobe speaks for itself. But Adorama was very quick on shipping. I purchased this on Cyber Monday and had it by the end of the week. Since I knew I purchase Lightroom 5, I went to Adobe and download the version online and when the packaged arrived I simple inserted the code. A key note here: If this is your first time using Lightroom. Go to Adobes website and take the time to read first. If you have a lot of photos, this is the time to get them organized (BEFORE YOU IMPORT) Some other places to get info is Youtube, Scott Kelby. Just take the time to read before installing and then click import photos… I think you be sorry latter. Lots of great features with Lightroom 5.

I've hesitated buying another upgrade. However now I'm mad I didn't do it sooner. I'm loving all the new features.

As a wedding photographer Lightroom is one tool I can't do without. Bride's dresses are so very white and shooting in RAW and using Lightroom has save my shots many times. The ease of removing red eyes and leaving a natural look is amazing and the content aware tool is a must have for removing unwanted items in a shot. I personally can't find anything wrong with the product. It works perfectly for me.

I'm a Nature photographer and this software is very usefull to get the reality I see in nature as I shoot in RAW. Details are brought to life in shasdows and overall the framed picture. Excellent software, highly recommend it.

Have used Lightroom for some time. Most recent V4.6 now V5. With latest version do most all my editing with it. Much less need to use Photoshop. Best part of Lightroom works in photographers language and is like an extension accessory to ones camera.

I use this for my professional photography business. It cuts my editing time in 1/2. You need to invest time to learn how to use. But if you want to dive in and go for it, the help button is easy to understand. There's also links for video tutorials.

I have used Lightroom for cataloging and editing in the past. Moving the edited versions of my images into Photoshop for final retouching has become less and less necessary with every upgrade to LR, and version 5 is no exception. The new re-touch brush, the new radial gradient, and the improved lens correction panel are my favorite enhancments. Get now and enjoy!!!

All the best feature for a great price. Content Aware is worth the price by itself! I like how you do not modify the photo but a file is created with the change you made on the photo.

What's not to like? I can do 98% of my editing with LR. I only go to Photoshop or elements for more advanced cloning.

Lightroom 5 Rocks
By RALPH C.
This latest version of Lightroom is great. I also have Lightroom 3. For my needs-dust spot removal from film scans and minor exposure adjustments and cataloging images Lr 5 is more than sufficient. I have Photoshop CS5 on a PC & CS6 on a Mac which have way more features than i need at this time. I find working in Lr to be quicker, both to learn and use. One unfortunate thing. I had to install OS X Mountain Lion on my Mac Pro (Lr 5 won't run on Snow Leopard). Fortunately, I had an empty ...
