Angelbird AV PRO SX 160GB CFexpress Type-B Memory Card

I got the card about 2 weeks ago and have not performed any scientific testing on it. That said, my real-world experience makes me happy with its performance. I have seen no lag in image capture transfer to the card or issues with loading the data to a computer. It's fast, smooth and supports a workflow without being a bottleneck to my process. I'm using it in a Nikon Z9 shooting fast action birds with long continuous captures. Since I've only had it a couple weeks, I cannot comment on the longevity of the product's manufacturing quality. I bought one to see what the excitement was all about. I'm planning to get more.

Purchased card in March 2022 and its now June 2022 and the card is falling apart and not being recognized. I really wanted to like the cards but they don't seem very durable.

I buy this card to replace my XQD cards and its just amazing how great they perform, fast writing and reading, Downloading the files on my laptops is super fast I just forget if they already download because its fast, I use it with the Angelbird CFexpress MK2 Reader and its flawless, I upgrade the firmware to the Latest firmware version AVX2.1, and no issues at all. I use it on Nikon Z9, Z6II and D850 all working great without problems, shooting daily.

I've found that this card causes my Canon R5 to take several seconds longer than usual to start. Once it's running, everything goes smoothly, but that delay is quite frustrating for any fast-paced work.

This card is strange. I bought it to use with my new D850. It formated okay at first and worked until I used it to update the D850. After that it refused to work in the D850. The camera reports that it needs to be formatted. I attepted reformatted it multiple times in the D850 and tried everything I could think of to get it working and it failed everytime. I have a D500 and a Z7 and used them to trouble shoot the problem. It formatted fine with both. I used it to update the firmware in the Z7 and it worked fine. The Angelbird SV formats and works fine in both cameras. I then tried it again in the D850 and it will not format. All of my other XQD and the Delkin cards work fine in the D850 and both other cameras. I now use the Delkin CXFexpress card from the D500 in my D850 and the Angelbird CFxpress in my D500 and everything is working fine. I would prefer to have the improved performance of the Angelbird SV in my D850 given the added expense but it's no big deal using it in the D500. I just hope it doesn't fail in the other cameras someday but I needed a card so I kept it.

These cards are quite fast. When combined with a modem reader on USB-C the entire photo session downloaded before I could switch windows and do another task.
