Laura G : I just purchased a used 23" Apple Cinema HD monitor, to use with my Macbook Pro. I need an adapter like this one, but I'm not sure it will work with the 23", which is an older model than the 30" (in the "features" section, it says the adapter is for the 30" display). Does anyone know if it will work with a 23" just as well? (it has aluminum facing, over a plastic core). -- lauraANDREW R : This unit should work with monitors of different sizes as long as the monitor uses DVI connections. Some makes, models and sizes may not be compatible with some Mac computers (depending on display resolution).

Works without problems

I use this to run a 30" Apple Cinema Display (2560x1600) and it works without any problems. It has firmware version 1.03, which is apparently important as early complaints about this product were with earlier firmware. It is working connected directly to a MacBook Pro or connected to a CalDigit Thunderbolt breakout box.
