This screen has to be one of the finest available. Beautiful, clear images. Great for photographers. It is worth the higher price.

I am a professional feeelance photographer and use this monitor for editing, color correction, printing. I also do custom printing. Everything I use is color calibrated with a Color Monki. What I see is what I get. The monitor is beautiful with accurate color. You really can't ask for more than that.

Great for photography work especially if you are Mac user. Otherwise you could find a monitor at a cheaper price. The price is the only negative about this display. I'm a Mac user and it is worth the investment to me. I've had a 24" Cinema Display for 6-7 Year and it has work perfectly.

Over years I have been working on Apple 30" matted monitor, and when I had to switch to 27" monitor to be honest I couldn't work for 2 reasons. A:: it was SO glossy and hurting my eyes that I couldn't even edit. B:: White Balance as a default was SO blue and I had to go to store and buy newer Spyder 4 witch calibrates iLED technology monitors. Calibration helped but I still WANTED my old monitor back that had soft film look skin tones. Several guys that I know LOVE this new 27 Glossy display, personally I didn't. I do have Apple laptop that has glossy display and LOVE it, but 27 Glossy screen it's totally different story. I'll include photo so you guys can see. it. It's a superb monitor, I just got used to matted screen witch doesn't bother my eyes.

Upper end home monitor at an upper end price. This is a beautiful display with a wider aspect than most others I've seen, making it more feasible to have documents open side-by-side. There is only one video connection--Thunderbolt to Mac, so don't buy unless you have a Thunderbolt port. But there are multiple ports on the back of the monitor to enhance the versatility of your computer (I use a Mac Mini). But, even well after Apple started supporting USB 3.0, they only have USB 2 ports on this monitor. It's a silly oversight. Plus Thunderbolt peripherals are much more expensive and not much faster than USB 3, making the latter more realistic as a backup drive.

The new Apple Thunderbolt Display can do things other displays simply can't. Of course, it delivers a brilliant viewing experience. But connect it to any Thunderbolt-enabled Mac and it becomes a plug-and-play hub for everything you do.
Features include a high-resolution 2560-by-1440 LED-backlit display, a FaceTime HD camera, high-quality audio, three USB 2.0 ports, a FireWire 800 port, a Gigabit Ethernet port and a Thunderbolt port for daisy-chaining additional high-performance devices.
