Chris E : Is this a 2nd Gen cable?DAVID H : I purchased this cable last Summer and it’s a double sided thunderbolt cable hooked up to a ‘13 iMac and AJA T-TAP device for video playback in another monitor. I don’t believe it’s compatible with new iMacs now that they have Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C). So I believe the cable is more of a legacy thunderbolt cable.

This cable, thunder bolt to thunder bolt, does what as advertised. I use it to connect two iMac 27inch together, one the computer and the other as a backup hard drive and a second monitor. Its well made and super strong.
