I've previously owned two earlier generation iPads and an iPad Mini. They were all great, but the iPad Air 2 is the best so far. It's fast, light and has a great display. A multitude of top-notch apps that work gloriously on this tablet make it the best tablet under $1000.

I have been waiting for this latest generation of the iPad mini with the Retina Display to be released, and now it is here! Honestly, it is just so perfect for me. I am thrilled about the display, speed, and form-factor. I can take this around with me to meetings, trips, and replace all my existing notebooks and paperwork that I used to lug around with me all the time. The battery life has been excellent so far, and I really do appreciate the iPad-optimized apps that are available on the App Store! Definitely would give this product 5 stars!

As a compliment to my laptop and iphone, this tablet is not only light and easy to handle for things such as retrieving e-mail and web-browsing, the retina display is much improved addition to the previous model. An improved camera takes vivid pictures providing sharpness as well as clarity when using it to watch movies/tv shows while on trips as well as taking pictures of my grandson. In my opinion the little bit more you are paying for the new mini compared to other tablets is worth it

Got an iPad Mini for Christmas and have not gone one day where I don't pick it up. I use it for music, videos, games, and as an E-reader. I would highly recommend the Mini as it's lightweight and a perfect size. Still great even though the screen ain't retina. Great battery life too.

This is a great tablet despite what all the nay sayers complain about the screen not being a retina display. I had a generation 1 iPad and also a samsung galaxy tab 2 7 inch. The galaxy is nice, but the ipad mini has an easier to view screen and the overall feel of the tablet is super slim and light. The Ipad mini is just the right size to view movies, read and I love using the eye fi app to download photos directly to my ipad from my dslr. It would be nice to have the retina display, but honestly, the display is so sharp now that its a non issue for me.

Love the Ipad mini. For my husband & myself, it is the perfect size. We skype with out of state family. I use it as an e-reader. Just love it. Only drawback, is that it draws so much power to recharge it cannot be charged via the computer, so you must plug it in to an outlet, but no big deal.

Loved that I didn't have to repay for apps, but makes me wonder if I should have gotten the Kindle Fire with a better display and a better price tag.

Just like the Ipad, the Ipad mini is awesome but in a smaller and easier to hold version. Price is reasonable and its great for gaming.

This is the sweet spot for me - Apple iPad in a smaller size and retina display is perfect for my photography business.
The Apple iPad Mini 32GB with Wi-Fi + Cellular for Verizon (Silver) is thin and light. With a new A7 chip, advanced wireless and powerful apps - all beautifully integrated with iOS 7 - iPad mini with Retina display lets you do more than you ever imagined. This Apple 32GB iPad Mini features retina display that has over 3.1 million pixels - a million more than an HDTV. That's a 2048-by-1536 resolution, four times the resolution of the previous-generation iPad mini. In fact, the pixels are so close together, your eyes can't distinguish them. So photos and videos show incredible detail and text is razor sharp. Because the best pixels are the ones you never see. It's just 0.29 inch thin and weighs less than three-quarters of a pound. So while you can do even more, you won't feel like you're holding any more.
The new Apple-designed A7 chip brings 64-bit desktop-class architecture to iPad. The A7 chip takes iPad to new heights of power and speed. Thanks to the A7 chip, apps run faster. Games are more responsive. And everything you do with iPad mini feels quicker, because it is quicker. Up to four times as quick, in fact. It also supports OpenGL ES version 3.0, enabling detailed graphics and visual effects once possible only on desktop computers and game consoles. And the A7 chip features 64-bit architecture, opening the door for even more robust and powerful apps. Which means even more possibilities for what you can do with iPad mini.
iPad mini was designed to be on the move. That's why the M7 coprocessor makes so much sense. It measures motion from your iPad mini by pulling data from the accelerometer, gyroscope and compass. So your apps can give you a better experience based on the movement of your iPad mini. It's a task that would normally fall to the A7 chip. But M7 is more efficient at it, which saves on power.
The Apple iPad Mini gives you the incredible 10-hour battery life. That's because the A7 chip isn't just more powerful, it's also more efficient. So no matter where you go with iPad Mini, you'll have the battery power to go even further.
iPad mini gives you up to twice the Wi-Fi performance thanks to two antennas and MIMO (multiple-input multiple-output) technology. With dual-band (2.4GHz and 5GHz) 802.11n Wi-Fi and MIMO, download speeds can reach up to 300 Mbps - double the data rate of the previous-generation iPad mini. So now when you want to download a movie, share photos or documents with AirDrop, or just browse the web, your connection is even faster than before.
iPad mini with Wi-Fi + Cellular lets you connect to the Internet even if you're away from a Wi-Fi signal. iPad mini supports even more LTE bands to connect to more cellular data networks around the world. Now you can get online at really fast speeds - faster than broadband in some cases - in more places. And plans are flexible, so you don't have to sign a contract. Some plans even let you share data across multiple devices.
