This is a really great deal for an iMac, but make sure you get the 1TB Fusion Drive! The 1TB HDD is a lot slower so the Fusion upgrade is definitely worth it! The only reason why I put 4 stars is because my iMac came with scratches. I opened it up and the charger was completely out of its place. I unboxed the iMac, but there are some small scratches on the stand area. Also, there were scratches on the accessories! Other than that, everything is great! I love this iMac... everything except its speed. I needed to save money, so I went with the 1.6GHz because its cost was significantly less than the faster machines (it was on sale and there was an additional rebate offered). I will need to trade it in for a faster model as soon as I can afford it. If you're just doing basic tasks (web, emails, watching videos, creating word docs), it will be more than sufficient for you. But if you're dealing with large Photoshop or InDesign files, you will be easily annoyed by the amount time you'll be waiting around for the computer to process things. To download and install an OS update yesterday, it took roughly an hour. On a more positive note... the display on this iMac is gorgeous! It puts my older Mac monitor to shame. And I love the scrolling functionality of new Magic Mouse that comes with it. Overall, an excellent machine! But you get what you pay for in terms of processor speed.

I needed a computer to run basic functions. Word, Search the web, Billing, and some very light photoshop. I purchased this because it was cheap. It worked sort of OK then after a few weeks and a few needed software upgrades it started to seem slower. Now it's very slow, takes forever to boot up. Printing?, good luck with that. It will send items to print but you have to boot it up and wait a while for everything to boot up. Stupid me, I thought I could add ram to speed this computer up. NOPE , it cannot be upgraded. So I'm stuck. Is it useable?, sure. It's also aggravating. So much for going cheap. It's still not that cheap. My mistake.

Love having an iMac! My very favorable experience with my Macbook Air and ongoing frustration with my old PC has been driving me toward a Mac, but all my old files are on MS Office suite. Macs don't handle certain functions of office as well as windows. Solution: Buy an iMac and partition the hard drive! Now I have both IOS and Windows with no compromise in performance! I love it!!!

This computer has been exactly what I’d hoped! I have an iphone and iPad, but I wasn’t sure about making the switch from windows to Apple on our desktop. There wasn’t nearly as much of a learning curve as I’d expected. I love all the features. The wireless keyboard and mouse are so cool and last such a long time before they need to be charged. The screen is so much bigger than I had imagined. I thought Apple was too expensive to justify buying one of their computers, but I’m so glad we did. Adorama made it possible since they had the best deal by far!

I bought Adorama's new 2015 model iMac because the price was attractive. It is for my wife, who uses a computer about five to six hours a week. When I was setting it up, I realized that it did not have Retina Display, which I have on my iMac and a MacBook. Text is so much sharper on a retina screen, and that's important to me because I read the Washington Post and New York Times online. Text is legible enough on my wife's Mac. She has not complained about it. If you don't need ultra-sharp text, buy the bargain-priced Mac. It is a wonderful machine and the Apple software is first-rate.
