I bought this to replace a 2009 27" iMac. While I miss the larger screen real estate, this machine has features that more than make up for it. The clarity of the 4K display is great for editing photos. I opted to max out the RAM as it is not user upgradable. I also chose the fusion drive as I wanted a machine which was quick to start up, yet has a large rotation drive capacity at only a small price increase. I couldn't be happier with the speed of booting and lsunching applications. I also ordered the external SuperDrive as I like to rip music and DVD's to import into iTunes. My only complaint was the included wireless keyboard. I tried it for a week before going back to my larger wired keyboard. I feel the wireless keyboard is too flat and doesn't provide enough feedback. I'm sure this iMac will give me years of great service.

I bought this machine to replace a six year old imac. In many ways, it is identical, but the retina 4K display and the much faster processing time make this new one a real pleasure to use. It doesn't seem to want to recognize my external Verbatim time machine, which is annoying, but I am sure that a call to tech support will help me fix that problem. Otherwise, no complaints.

Already had the iMac 2010. Filled it up. Honestly, I don't see this display as that much different, both are awesome. 21.5 is fine for me, but if I had the room I would get the larger display, not much more money. Upgraded the ram & fusion drive. Very fast, smooth. iMacs are all I want any more. Adorama is so easy to deal with, & saved me about ($) over Apple store.

The screen is great and the processor is fast. I set it up with a thunderbolt ssd to boot Mac OS and Windows the day I got it.

This computer is amazingly fast. I have been using an obsolete, eight year old, 17" Macbook Pro which is very slow compared to this computer. It's a joy to use. Adorama was very good to deal with. I believe their price was the best on the internet.

I bought this computer as an upgrade to an older MacBook Pro and am very pleased with the great picture quality and speed increase over my older computer. I would definitely recommend this model for anyone wanting a top of the line iMac. I do a lot of photo processing so having the faster processor and increased ram was a necessity for me.

This new iMac is fantastic! The 4K screen is awesome for text and pics alike. Even the built in sound system is quite good. For what I needed / wanted, this unit fits the bill very nicely. Being a longtime Windows PC guy, the learning curve is progressing nicely. So far, so good! I can recommend without reservation.
