Using primarily for recording and mixing audio. The Thunderbolt 3/USB C connectors work very well with adarters as far as getting audio in and out of my interface. I’d recommend getting a dongle for all you’re other devices and then a separate USB adapter for your interface to the mbp port. (Apple’s adapter works fine). The graphics are great and the speed is incredible.

A perfect laptop for me. I used several brands before, including HP, Dell, Thinkpad and Asus. But the MacOS is so easy to navigate and use, I am really into it. The 15.4inch is a perfect size for me. The retina screen is phenomenal. I like reading with my MacBook Pro so much now. Just love it.

I recently purchased this model to replace my 15-inch 2013 MacBook Pro with Retina Display. The new models of the MacBook Pro come with the same high-quality, refined finish that you would expect. Battery life is much improved over the one I had and charges faster than before. The fact that it weighs less is also nice. I appreciate the easy access the Touchbar gives you to relevant content based on the app you’re currently using, as well as the integration of Touch ID for password and unlocking purposes. This makes everyday tasks a little bit easier with a few less keystrokes and clicks. I have easily adapted to the USB-C ports, using thumbnail-sized adapters to plug on to the end of cables connected to devices I already had. I also use a USB-C to HDMI cable to connect to external displays. I only spent a total of ($) on the USB-C peripherals and they work great. So all in all, the transition to this new technology has been painless. I personally don’t see this as being an issue at all now as USB-C adapters are now abundant and affordable. Don’t let this put you off from getting a MacBook or MacBook Pro!

I don’t know what these so-called reviewer‘s “the verge / Engadget” are talking about. This is one of the best laptops I’ve ever used. I’ve had a surface book pro and it’s been nothing but problems overheating not shutting down battery life problems and they gave that laptop a great review The MacBook Pro gives me great battery life, has a great screen and the keyboards OK not great but OK. So what I’m trying to say is don’t trust the reviews from these so called experts. Just try the laptop for yourself because I don’t know what everyone’s talking about it’s great.

I bought this to replace my 2011 pre-retina MBP, and uh, what can I say, it's another computer. I'm sure you know the pitfalls of the new models, the touch bar is annoying, usb-c sucks right now (you'll be in dongle hell), and the loss of mag-safe really really puts a damper on things. But if you need a mac for work, you're hosed. At least you can turn off touch bar.

So glad I've upgraded from my mid 2010 MBP which I had upgraded with an SSD. Love the sleek, fast, lighter machine. Miss the built-in DVD, but I'll make-do. Love Touch-bar, fingerprint security and Apple Pay ability.

So far, so good. Not alot more power then my 2013 but I'm excited I can share a charger with my phone. The new cords and adapters are a pain but I like the freedom of being able to plug anything anywhere. Over all I'm happy with purchase.
