The specs on this model are not that different from 2017 MB Pro. I wish it had the 460 GPU but for the price that is a sacrifice in performance I can live with. I was really concerned about 16GB of memory coming from a 32GB iMac but it is working out ok. This machine is working harder with less overhead to spare but I'm okay with that too as I have AppleCare and don't mind pushing this machine for while and selling it at the end. Being mobile has been well worth the performance trade off and this price is less $ than the iMac it replaced. $1,000 cheaper than the almost same 2017 model.

I’m a heavy computer user...photographer. Adobe’s Photoshop and Lightroom run very well on this machine with my large catalog of images. The screen is fantastic. I was somewhat worried about the keyboard, having read a great deal of negative comments on it. So far no issues. I certainly don’t mind the feel of the keyboard....it’s fine. I love the way Apple products all work together so I’m very glad I stuck with Apple again for this laptop.

I have been using my new MacBook Pro for a week now and suddenly both shift keys stopped working... very frustrating. All other features are really nice but I have to push down really hard on the keyboard when typing and I’m very worried about other keys not working.

Got a great deal on this MacBook Pro, and while I had read a lot of reviews about the questionable keyboard, I must say I've grown to really love it. No problems with keys sticking (yet) though this may change the longer I own it. In addition, the computer is blazingly fast, a potent multitasker.

Best deal I could find comparable was a sale from Best Buy at 400 dollars more. Computer is awesome too. I thought the touchbar would be kind of stupid but makes certain tasks so much easier.

Using primarily for recording and mixing audio. The Thunderbolt 3/USB C connectors work very well with adarters as far as getting audio in and out of my interface. I’d recommend getting a dongle for all you’re other devices and then a separate USB adapter for your interface to the mbp port. (Apple’s adapter works fine). The graphics are great and the speed is incredible.

A perfect laptop for me. I used several brands before, including HP, Dell, Thinkpad and Asus. But the MacOS is so easy to navigate and use, I am really into it. The 15.4inch is a perfect size for me. The retina screen is phenomenal. I like reading with my MacBook Pro so much now. Just love it.
