Good, but lacks optical audio out
Definitely an upgrade over 1st gen. Does not include optical audio out, only HDMI, making it more difficult to connect to certain audio systems. Siri remote not as useful as it could be, in my opinion.

Excellent Customer Service
The Adorama customer service was excellent! Apple TV stands alone in the streaming device market. My order required a special handling situation and Adorama was very easy to work with and my order was handled promptly and professionally. It was a very good experience!

Great for streaming
Great device if you subscribe to streaming service. Ok if you don't. Typical elegant Apple design. I use my phone for a remote.

Great product
Great Apple technology as usual. Had to go to You Tube to understand how to use the Apple Remote. Remote was difficult to use ( sliding the controller vs clicking ) until I found the YouTube post. Then with Siri & understanding the remote. Using Apple TV was a breeze.

The new and better Apple TV
I've upgraded from the 3rd generation TV and it is a completely new experience. You have to download all the apps you want. The look is much cleaner and nicer than the previous version. You also have air play which is one reason I like it because you can mirror whatever is on the iPad or MacBook or iPhone.
If you have A pole devices then this is great to integrate with them. I'm very satisfied with the Apple TV 4th generation .

As expected with Apple...
As is almost always the case...this AppleTV is easy to use, easy to set up...I have very few complaints. I just wish that all streaming applications were available on ALL streaming devices. Roku for this, Apple for that...FireStick for those...LOL...it's a bummer that they can't all have everything on them and then you purchase based on the functionality of the device rather than which apps you can get with it. Oh well...love the AppleTV...

Love the Concept, high quality, smoothness. Remote leaves a lot to be desire
Remote is probably appreciated by young nimble fingers, but for older folk, broader aspect human factors were obviously not observed or even consisered.
Plus, why in the hec if Apple finally added a volume control, where's the mute???????

4th gen apple TV
I've had 3rd gen apple TV. Airplay kept turning off using with new Ipad pro and Iphone 7.
After replacing with gen4. Problem solved.

Perhaps a one-off issue with this specific unit, but my experience is there are far more interruptions and crashes with this newer iteration of apple tv as compared to earlier generations.
