I still own my first MacBook Pro which is a 2010 model and it still runs circles around sluggish PC laptops. This one has so many new features from the Touch Bar to a much sharper screen. The best part is how light it feels. I'm extremely happy with my purchase.

I replaced my 5+ year old MacBook Air with the new MacBook Pro basically because I got tired of moving files off my old computer to a portable storage device. My hard drive was full. I spent a great deal of time researching what I wanted for my next computer. The choice was clearly a Mac notebook. But after reading other reviews and comparing - I got the newest Macbook Pro available with maximum everything. In more than 5 years, I never had a problem with my MacBoook Air, so I went with reliability and performance. Although not a pro, I work on a lot of graphics, so I wanted a computer that could handle my demands. And rather than carry around my brick of a laptop my employer provides, I wanted something lighter that didn't need it's own luggage. So the largest hard drive gave me plenty of space to add Windows 10 Pro (which the Apple Store walked me through) to enable me to run business apps in Windows on the same device. Everyday I love "MacKenzie" even more. I keep trying to learn new things about it and ways to use the touch bar. I've had "her" about a month, and my only regret is that I didn't take the leap sooner.

I upgraded from a 2013 MBP the performance is better but not real obvious. The unit is much lighter and the huge track pad is impressive. I am still not sure the touchpad is worth it but it is cool... Its ultimately missing two things: first the screen should be a touch screen, second USB C is good but 4 ports? Where is the standard USB and or SD slot? Overall this is a premium laptop but it falls short in a few areas.

Having upgraded from a Mac Air I have been very pleased with the look, feel and weight. The speed of the processor is exactly what you'd expect with a new computer. Have seen no lag while running a 4K monitor off of the laptop.

I bought this as a replacement for a 2011 13in MacBook Pro. It's night and day. It's tiny and thin and light and super fast. It is dongle hell, but my laptop experience always has been like that. Build quality is best available. You do pay a premium for the name and OS. I think it's worth it. Space gray is awesome too.

Extremely ecstatic with the new MBP. The touchbar is more useful than I expected, especially for Mail.app where it suggests folders to file (similar to iOS 10). Have it had any battery issues.
