When my 13" 2018 MacBook Air (with Intel processor) gave up the ghost, I found this '22 model. I got it with the same RAM and storage specs as my previous MacBook. This laptop is amazing?. it runs the latest MacOS at blistering speed, the Liquid Reitina display is bight, and the colors are acurate. Adorama was easy to work with, and the price was right. I highly recommend this laptop and Adorama.

My previous laptop, a dell xps 13 was unfortunately stolen abruptly and I urgetly needed a new laptop for work. I had a great experience with dell but was quite tempted by all the hype for apples M series chips. I had used a macbook pro in 2008 and found the experience to be completely terrible mostly because I could not stand mac os. It had no cut and paste, files in the finder where messy and disorganized, many apps were not available and so on. However, I switched to the iphone 2 years ago, enjoyed it and so I decided to give the macbook another chance as many features from ios were making their way to mac os. First of all, great service and delivery from Adorama. When the laptop arrived, I was really impressed by the build quality. Very solid, just like my Dell xps. The display is also really nice. It is not as good as an OLED but there are a number of positive points to it. First of all, it has an anti-glare coating which makes it not so reflective. The blacks are also quite deep. Not OLED deep but nice enough to notice. It also has great colors. Setting the brightness to a high level gave me a headache but after setting it to around 15 percent brightness or so it has been really easy on my eyes. I have never cared much for brightness anyway. Another positive shock was the battery life. I was able to browse with a wi-fi connection for more than 16 hours over a few days without charging which is insane to me. My previous dell xps laptop only lasted for four hours or so on wi-fi although without wi-fi while doing light work it lasted for around 13 hours even with a 4k display. But even with this long battery life it still offers great performance. Apps load really quickly and operations complete quite quickly. It is also fanless which means the laptop does not make any noise and it is also doesn't get hot, at least so far. Mac OS has really come a long way from 2008 when I lasted used it and is a lot easier to use now. But in addition to this, I have also discovered many great apps like textmate for coding and text and pixelmator for working with images. The standard apple apps are also quite nice. In addition, many AAA games like Resident Evil Village, Death Stranding and Stray are coming or have come to mac os. I have already tested Resident Evil Village and it runs like a charm and this is a game I could never in my wildest dreams run on my dell xps. There are still many settings you will have to change in mac os to make it slightly more similar to Windows so you might still need to do some setups to make it easier for you. And if you have an iphone the level of integration is fantastic. But macOs is still lacking. While this laptop has an excellent keyboard, I feel like the command key, which is used to do things like copy and paste etc is placed in a difficult to reach position while typing and breaks my flow. Coming from a windows keyboard it will take a very long time to adjust. All in all, I believe that this is an excellent purchase that I am really pleased to own. I would highly recommend this even to windows users and at least there are options to run windows on this as well.

Replaced my rock-solid, SSD, 16Gb ram equipped mid 2012 Powerbook. That machine was a beast - still is - but time to go newer and I'm NOT disappointed at all. Was a bit concerned about the 8Gb in the new MBA, but it has plenty of overhead for my needs and it screams. I did go 512Gb SSD, because being old school, you can't have enough storage... and since I am consolidating the old laptop and 2015 iMac to one machine, having room to sort and clean is key. Almost done too - so time for Time Machine too. If you're sitting on the fence, just jump in already. you'll not regret it one bit. If you're a heavy video editor or extreme gamer...8Gb might not do it for you, but then you might not be looking at a MBA either. I easily see myself getting another 10 years out of this new laptop.Can your Dell say that? No? How many of those in the last 10 years have you gone through? My old MB still runs well. Value for the $, and yeah, Adorama had the best $ too. Thank you!

This is a very nice machine. It is a quick processor and runs smoothly through it all. There are numerous default settings to sift through that one may want changed, but virtually any preference a person could have can be tweaked. A great purchase over all.
