This replaced an 11 year old MacPro(trashcan). New MacPro's are out of my league cost wise and overkill for what do. This MacMini does everything I need for amature photography workflow and recreational editing of GoPro and Insta360 videos. Have yet to see anything I throw at it slow it down at all. As is standard with Apple, really easy to migrate from another Apple computer to this one.

From the moment I ordered this unit, I was treated like the "King" I envision myself to be. Buy with confidence . . . . I upgraded from an M1 iMac with 8 GIG of RAM to the Mac mini M2, with more cores than I seem to be able to count, and 32 GIG of RAM. I opted for the 1 TB of SSD space, I should have gotten 2 or greater with all the video files and parts that Final Cut Pro creates etc. Overall performance is superb. Far superior to my M1 iMac and much more so than my former work-horse, a Late 2012 -2.3 GHz i7 Intel Mac mini with 16 GIG RAM with SSD storage. Processing power, at this price point seems to be 2nd to none. This mini cuts thru FCPro rendering etc. better than a hot knife thru melted butter. If you like the simplicity of the Mac mini footprint, this is the model for you. I hope you find this helpful!.

Best deal in Apple's capable but expensive line. Works like a champ and of course not enough USB ports.

Blazing speed and capability in a tiny efficient package. The M Series mac minis remain a great value choice for our individual workstations.

This is the Mac to get. M2 CPU that will be very good for many years, 16GB of RAM (with Apple's optimization, this is even better than it seems), and a 512GB SSD. That's more than enough specs for your typical Creator's machine. I wouldn't get the 256GB because not only is it using a slower SSD, but that will fill up too quickly. 512GB is enough breathing room to work comfortably, and any other space needed can use an external SSD. There's always rumors that the Mac Mini will be discontinued, so get it while you can. A much better deal than a Macbook with the same specs.

Are used to work in manufacturing and design, looking at the Mac mini I can understand how APPLE could afford to give Tim an $800 million bonus It should never have had so few ports a gross mistake on APPLE's part.

Adorama provided great service but this computer is rather slow for the tasks. I should've spent more money as 16GB RAM isn't near enough and I feel the M2 chip is overrated

Nice small footprint computer, extremely fast. The only thing it lacks is the camera and microphone, and poor sounding sound. Do miss the quality of the iMac display vs the LG and the speakers on the LG isn't near the quality of the iMac.

Best computer I have ever owned. I had the M1 Mac mini prior with 16gb of ram and 256gb Hard Drive. This will definetly last me for some years. The speed is amazing. I went with the 1tb hard drive because of the issue with the speeds of the two lesser sizes. Add the 30 GB's of RAM and my machine is blazing fast now. I use mainly for Studio One and when exporting files the time is a lot faster then on my M1.

The M2 is great, and a major step up from legacy MacBook Pro. I purchased an extra SSD to store large files. Seamless workflow for Adobe suite. For amateur/ semi-professional work I recommend this product.

My second computer was an Apple II C (My first was a TRS80 Model 1). After that, I used MS Dos based computers for work. Later, I dabbled with a Mac Performa from Sears (!), but still did the majority of my work on a windows computer. Last year, I renewed my interest ion Mac with a refurbished 2015 Mac Mini i5 with 8GB of Ram and a 1 TB Hard Drive to store the photos from my wife's and mine iPhones. Clunky slow. This year, I upgraded to this M2. All I can say is wow. Fast. Easy to use. Compact (takes up little desk space). A major leap forward.

What a perfect little powerhouse! I was recommended this version of the Mac Mini by an Apple Store employee who suggested I buy from Adorama. It's really rad that Adorama stocks these custom builds and ships so quickly! The order arrived perfectly packaged with all needed parts and no damage, and it arrived super fast. Since Apple doesn't stock these types of builds, I strongly recommend you grab your Mac Mini from Adorama if you want a more powerful machine within a few days rather than a few weeks. The customer service was also amazing. I wasn't aware of the rewards program until after I placed my order, and being the penny pinching vulture that I am, I reached out to see if I could retroactively have the purchase points added to my account. The service rep was prompt and helpful, and got me hooked up with my reward points. I am so grateful that the Apple employee recommended Adorama for my Mac Mini. I'll be using Adorama in the future for sure!

Big upgrade from my old M1 Mac Mini with 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage! I didnt necessarily need all of the extra storage (nice to have) but the 16GB RAM makes things run a LOT smoother. I run Firefox with 10 windows of 50+ tabs and dont get any sluggishness like I did before. Highly recommended!

Probably our 20th Mac over the years, and it is a little power house. And, an outstanding purchase with the Adorama special. Couldn't be happier.

Well, it's a Mac obvious. What I love about the Mac Mini compared to the previous model - more ports available. The price is excellent. I have had no problems hooking up my external monitor, apple wireless keyboard with Touch ID and wireless mouse, and it works well with my printe. I also love that the Mac Mini has a nice mix of available ports: HDMI, USB plus the Thunderbolt ports. No need for the more expensive desktops now. I am loving my Mac Mini!

Phenomenal value - computer works great, is very fast, and is extremely powerful for the low price. The base model (which I got with a coupon) is such a great system. Adding a larger/slightly faster HD or even more RAM is definitely not worth it unless you have special use cases as Apple drastically overcharges for these things. Get the base model and if you need more space get an external 2 TB SSD that is super fast for like $100.

Terrific price for performance. For trading and minor graphics alterations this little box is perfect. Add an SSD to expand data storage. Great graphics and can drive 2 monitors.

As expected, the M2 Pro provides significant performance & features, particularly coming from my Intel Mac. For me the biggest reason to choose the Pro over the standard M2 is I/O. The four thunderbolt four ports make a big difference for my workflow, and the added cores in the chip are at nice plus. I have the base Pro configuration; 16 GB RAM, 512 storage, but it handles multiple streams of 4K video with ease. First time buying from Adorama, but I got a good deal and good service. Will buy here again and would recommend.

Mac Mini M2 Box
By TOM F.
Best deal in Apple's capable but expensive line. Works like a champ and of course not enough USB ports.
More muscle. More hustle.
Mac mini with M2 packs the speed you need to get more done faster. Add to that a versatile array of ports and you've got a desktop ready to flex in any setup, no matter which chip you choose.
Supercharged by
M2 Chip
8-core CPU
10-core GPU
Up to 24GB unified memory
100GB/s memory bandwidth
The next generation of Apple silicon makes this the hardest-working Mac mini we've ever built. From rich presentations to immersive gaming, M2 flies through work and play.
Apple silicon's next chapter is here.
M2 scale up our breakthrough system on a chip (SoC) architecture, which combines the CPU, GPU, unified memory, and Neural Engine on a single power-efficient chip.
M2 brings a faster, next-generation CPU and GPU to Mac mini, along with much higher memory bandwidth. And both chips feature an industry-leading media engine that rips through ProRes, H.264, and HEVC video so you can edit multiple streams even at 8K resolution.
M2
M2 brings the next generation of Apple silicon to Mac mini, packing in over 20 billion transistors - 25 percent more than M1. And with 50 percent more memory bandwidth than M1, M2 lets you cruise through workflows and seamlessly switch between apps.
More power at your command. Apple silicon allows Mac mini to outperform desktops many times its size. The next-generation 8-core CPU in M2 is up to 18 percent faster than M1, and the new 10-core GPU delivers up to 35 percent faster graphics performance than M1.
Compatibility - Mini does that.
With macOS Ventura, your go-to apps run lightning fast on Mac mini - from Microsoft 365 to Adobe Creative Cloud to Zoom. And over 15,000 apps and plug-ins are optimized for M2 and M2 Pro. Organize your apps and windows with Stage Manager, so you can stay focused while seamlessly moving between tasks. Dive into a multiplayer gaming session with SharePlay. Or start a to-do list on your iPhone and pick it up on Mac mini without missing a beat.
Design
The performance and efficiency of Apple silicon allow Mac mini to blow away desktops many times its size - all in an iconic 7.7-inch-square frame.
Towering performance. Minus the tower.
Unified memory
Memory you won't forget. Unified memory on Mac does more than traditional RAM. A single pool of high-bandwidth, low-latency memory allows Apple silicon to move data more efficiently - so everything you do is fluid.
Fast SSD storage
Mac mini comes with all-flash storage - a whopping 256GB SSD for all your photo and video libraries, files, and apps. That's up to four times as much as the previous generation.
Privacy and security
M2 and macOS Ventura give Mac mini industry-leading privacy and security features beyond anything in its class, including built-in protections against malware and viruses. And the next-generation Secure Enclave helps keep your system and your data protected.
Versatility All systems go.
With its next-level performance, wide array of ports, and compact size, this mini desktop is perfect for an impressive range of uses - and ready to take on whatever you do.
Productivity
Mac mini turns any desk into a powerful workspace. Add a display, keyboard, and mouse or trackpad, and you're ready to create, code, and collaborate.
Gaming
Jump into graphics-intensive AAA games like No Man's Sky and Resident Evil Village with fluid frame rates and high fidelity - all enabled by the incredible GPU performance of M2.
Audio and video production
Mac mini is a powerful desktop for content creation. Run more plug-ins and layer more audio tracks in Logic Pro. And edit multiple streams of 4K and 8K ProRes video in Final Cut Pro faster with the help of the high-performance media engine.
Software development
Mac mini gives you the tools you need to create powerful apps or games.
Connectivity Take it all in.
With two Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB-A ports, HDMI, Wi-Fi 6E, and Gigabit Ethernet, Mac mini connects to just about anything. And if you want even faster networking speeds, you can configure Mac mini with 10Gb Ethernet for up to 10 times the throughput.
Thunderbolt 4
Transfer data at up to 40Gb/s. Charge and power external devices. And expand your workspace with external displays that can output video at up to 6K resolution and 60Hz with Thunderbolt 4. HDMI unlocks up to 8K video output.
Wi-Fi 6E
Another first for Mac mini, Wi-Fi 6E delivers better all-around performance and up to 2.4Gb/s of throughput - for superfast file transfers or backing up to Time Machine.
Wi-Fi 6E up to 2.4Gb/s throughput
