My work laptop for the past year was a 2016 MacBook Pro 13. So these points are mostly in comparison to that. 2018 MacBook Air 16/256: Pros No Touch Bar wasting your money Apple MacOS not trying to suck up all your personal data for marketing Excellent build quality Fast SSD means everyday tasks execute quickly Hi res display Great battery life Everything works T2 chip is a bit of future proofing Cons Price Y series i5 processor won’t crunch heavy workloads like a quad core (compares well to the 2year old i7 on the pro though) Display is not as bright so I have it at about 75% I knew the cons going in and I’m quite happy with it after a month. Daily tasks like email, browsing, office, light photo editing are a breeze.

I have had it a couple of weeks and it seems fine. I can watch videos with any interruptions. The picture is bright and its very light, about 3 pounds. I only use it when I travel. The only problem I have with it is that it doesn't have a UBS port. The touch ID is nice and the speaker are much better than my old mac book pro.

I was in the market for a MacBook Air and upon researching deals on the web, I was directed to Adorama’s site for a wide selection of MacBooks. The keyboard is improved over previous generations. Love the light weight and thin form. As far as power, you’ll have to ask someone else. I mostly use it for web, email, and some minor photo editing. It fits my needs perfectly.

I have love this machine since it’s arrival. It is step up from my old MacBook Air. At first, I was a little worried about the butterfly keyboard, but have grown to really appreciate their feel. I will say I miss the MagSafe charger.Still haven’t fully dug into everything there, but I am very happy with the purchase.
