Many may not know this but Apple secretly (though not sure why they would want this to be a quiet roll out) updated in December the OS so that the MacBook Air screen finally got much brighter. That was initially a HUGE deterrent to me but after learning that through my tech forums, I took the plunge and updated my 12” MacBook. Now, the 12” MacBook will always have a special place in my heart because it is so darn lightweight and portable but the MacBook Air strikes that perfect balance of screen size, power, portability, and all without sacrificing battery life. Oh and it doesn’t have a Touch Bar which is so obnoxious to me so this truly is the perfect portable machine for my needs. Don’t expect to game on it obviously and don’t expect it to do super heavy tasks, but for 98% of what’s out there that isn’t graphic intensive or playing intense games, you will love it.

Well this was a replacement computer for my wife, her old MacBook Air died. She has been using it for about a month now and hasn’t complained about anything, nothing about no MagSafe, nothing about old USB ports not being available, and nothing negative about the feel of the new keyboard. So that I’m my book means this computer is good. Happy wife is an excellent life.

This new MacBook Air is delight. It has all of the best features of the MacBook Pro in lighter package. The screen is great. With 26GB of Ram, it is just as fast (maybe faster) as the 8GB pro.

I replaced a 2011 Air with this 2018 model. The old one was my favorite computer since Apple II. It’s great for my use. Beautiful display and I like the keyboard. I wish it still had the magsafe power connection.

Replaced a 2011 MacBook Air with this new 16 gig 512 SSD Model with Retina display for my schoolteacher daughter. She loved the first one and is thrilled with the performance of this one. Saves you about a $ over a high end 13” MacBook Pro.Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a highly capable all around computer
