Wow,where do I start,the new iPad Pro is totally awesome ,and it’s very powerful.I was stuck between getting the new Pro or the new MacBook,but in the end I’m really proud of my choice,because it does just as much as the MacBook!!

While this has an upgraded processor, a bit larger screen real estate and nicer screen, the earlier versions seemed to be more than adequate in those regards,Honestly, one of the biggest drivers for making the upgrade was the switch to USB-C for charging/etc. Most of my other devices (phones, laptops, etc) are now USB-C enabled and being able to share cables simplifies my life. Obviously a fair price just to upgrade to USB-C, but once I have a bit saved up for the newer (and more expensive) pencil, it'll be nicer than having to plug the old pencil into the lightning port. Magnetically attaching and charging sounds much better, though I'd prefer it if the mechanism for attaching it was a bit more robust. The thought of having it fall off when I put it in my bag, leaving it uncharged doesn't seem appealing.Pro's:USB-CBetter (but not great) Pencil chargingCons:PriceNot too keen about the new smart cover from what I've read about it.

I upgraded from the 2017, 9.7", regular iPad. The difference in size is not all that noticeable but it helps. I found not having a home button to be a pain - all of the swiping gets old fast, especially since the swiping doesn't always work on the first try. But, I discovered that you can add a virtual home button and move it anywhere around the outer edge of the screen so that's what I use instead of swiping. I'm surprised no one ever mentions this in any product reviews because it is a big deal to me. I think the thing I like the most of the iPad Pro is the 4 speaker sound which is much louder than the standard iPad and allows me to hear videos and broadcasts while running on the treadmill. The sound was also improved by installing it in a Poetic Turtleskin case. I haven't purchased the pencil yet so I have no comment about it. If you don't care about the sound I'm not sure it's worth 3x the price of a regular iPad.

The iPad is the first tablet as well as the first Apple product I have ever owned. It's beautiful, and despite being 12.9'' it isn't as heavy as expected due to really thin bezels. Because of the size, it mimics a 8.5'' x 11'' paper really well. If you're reading a lot of PDFs, the size helps out a lot. This is also especially useful when paired with the Apple Pencil for increased screen realestate with note taking or drawing. What are some cons? The software is just iOS, which seems underutilized with the hardware power the iPad is capable of. Apple markets this as a replacement tablet, but iOS still lends itself more toward mobile. No headphone jack can be a big deal for some too. Apple's iOS is also closed off so you can't use any USB C storage devices unfortunately.
