Easy to use
Bought as gift for someone who is not computer savvy. Easy set up, easy to use. Fast and running well with Chrome OS taking care of updates and security. Picked this one because of touchscreen feature and a very good touchpad. Solidly built with a fantastic battery life. I like that it has various USB ports and definitely need the microSD slot for extra storage. It has almost everything at an economical price. If it had an HDMI port and better screen resolution, it would be even more awesome.

A quick, durable notebook with a lot of capability
Second Acer Chromebook within several years. Purchased to use in my home shop to occasionally go online seeking instructions, repairs and videos while working on hobby or home repairs. No need for a mouse as the large touchpad works accurately yet the touch screen speeds up the process and is large enough for pudgy fingers.
Wi-fi is excellent throughout the house, especially in the shop which is the most distance from the router.
Multiple USB ports are handy and speedy. I use an external SSID to store videos when desired.
For me there is ample RAM and storage for day to day use. The laptop is plenty fast, screen is bright and very touch responsive. I like being able to close the screen when moving the Acer around and it wakes up immediately when opened.
Initial setup was a painless walk through but be prepared with your wireless router log in information. Out of box was up and running in less then ten minutes.
My main PC is a speedy graphics work station monster so it's quickness spoils you, but this little Chromebook is quick enough for me.
First Chromebook in the house several years ago was for my wife who did not like complexity of Windows and Mac PC/laptops. Loved the Chromebook but now does most everything on Android phone. That Acer petered out after three years of constant use so was money well spent.
Overall satisfied with the Chromebook's operation, speed and price. Will replace it with another when life runs out.

Didn't like operating system
Operating this computer was different from the laptops we have used for decades. Didn't like it. Rather get a more expensive one than use this.

Fifth Acer Chromebook in last 12 years.
This is my fifth Acer Chromebook and all have delivered performance I wanted without problems, so an updated, touchscreen model at a sale price was a no-brainier! I wish the security update calendar was more prominent during the purchase.

Positive look
Love this little computer which I use as a back up to my desktop. It is lightweight and easy to move around. It replaced another one I had that was six years old. Great product---great price!

A Nice Travel Compy Option
A useful alternative travel computer; works well and integrates easily with Chrome across my devices / PC. Handles video and audio well enough; good for basic functions.

Chrome book
I sent it back because a chrome book is so limited and it did not let me do that much on it. I got another acer after I sent it back and I like it so much better

Very Satisfied
My daughter needed a new computer for school after her MacBook stopped working. This Chromebook was what she wanted as it's what her school uses, great price, and high quality.

not working out of the box. product was a gift which was not opened in first two weeks. I can not return the defective product because it is more than "15 days". I think this is first and last ACER product for me.

More then Meets my Expectations.
Second Acer Chromebook and thus far the unit has more then meet my expectations. Used for simple browsing, emails, home automation monitoring and the like. Easy to setup, pretty quick, working well.

Efficient for work.
Touch screen, long lasting battery life, and quick and easy set up. Chrome books are the way to go for work in programming and I have been using Acer chromebooks since 2017 so a huge fan.

Great value
Great value purchase. It is very light spec-ed. It can be noticeably slow at times but can get the work done. Keyboard is good but touchpad not so much. For the price, this is a really good device.

Acer screen
So far it is similar to my older Acer but the screen is not as easy to see well. I don't care for the way at times it looks foggy. Set next to my old Acer there is quite a difference.

Comes with a low power charger
I just received my new computer today and am already pretty disappointed with it. A message saying, "Low power charger connected. Your Chromebook might may not charge while it is turned on."
Why doesn't the computer come with a charger powerful enough to charge it while it is being used? Because the computer is brand new, it keeps dying and I haven't been able to use it yet because of the low power charger. Looking ahead to the future, I want a computer that I will be able to use while it is charging.

Works great, screen size less than expected
I am replacing my perfectly good Acer...after 4 years is no longer supported... with this one. My only complaint is the screen size. My old one was 15". I thought this one was 14". It's not, no matter which direction you measure it. I did complain and got a mansplaing about how to measure a screen. Other than that, it's perfectly fine. I went with the 2 gigiherz cuz that's the real secret of computer quickness. So other than being disappointed about screen size, this is a great computer!

Needs sharper font edges
The lettering in text wasn't sharp/clear enough. I adjusted multiple settings, but apparently the problem was caused by the anti-glare screen, so we sent it back. Other than the screen clarity and the fact that the type c charging port seemed a little loose, I liked the 314's design and functionality.

Great Laptop
This is my second Acer chromebook. Never had any problems with my first one just stopped updating.When it was time to replace it I knew it would definitely be another Acer chromebook. Very easy to set up, works great, does everything I need it to do.
