Shopper : Does the Actiontec HD video kit allow me to use my HDTV as a monitor for my PC?MARK H : If your PC has an HDMI out it should work.LESLIE F : If the PC has an HDMI output you could connect it to the transmitter unit and then attach the receiver unit to the TV's HDMI input.
Hope this helpsJEFF F : if your computer has a video card with HDMI out, then you can attach to this devise. it has a local HDMI out (on the trasmitter) and the wireless receiver lets you add a second (non-local) tv/monitor.SCOTT L : Yes, but you will have to use a HDMI to VGA adapter. The HDMI to DVI adapter did not work. Unless both your PC and your TV support HDMI, then no adapter necessary.DICK S : I would say yes. As long as you have an HDMI output on your PC there should be no problem.HAROLD W : If your computer has an HDMI out jack, and your TV has an HDMI in jack (which it should), then this set up will work well.BJORN B : It will allow you to attach any device with an HDMI output to another device with an HDMI input. If your sending device doesn't send sound over HDMI you will not get it on the receiving end.DREW N : Provided your PC has an HDMI output, and you have no unique HDMI handshake issues, it should work fine. I personally have not tried it.
Andrea M : Would the item come with European AC/DC power adapters (i.e. 220V) ?KEVIN S : Andrea, there are two, identical 5-volt power supplies included, one for each unit. Both have US-style plugs, but the input voltage is 110-240 volt AC, so all you'll need is the plug adapter for your country. The video quality is outstanding, and I'm a cameraman & video editor. -Kevin SJOEL M : NO, If you give me the chance to return this item, I will . There is a problem with the audio. It has a very weak signal. you can even hardly hear the sound even though its connected to the amplified speakers.CORTNEY P : The AC adapters accept 110-240V.I & L TRADING L : The Ac adapters have an input of 100 to 240. it will work with your 220 but the plug may not. I believe in Europe some places have round plugs.DICK S : Have no idea! You might want to check with the manufacturer.BRUCE B : Mine didn't.BURNISE P : Don't think so, at any rate this equipment isn't worth anything. Just is not satisfactory.
D A : Is this, like my current actiontec, a router modem combination? Will it increase speed of my internet connection and serve as hdmi for appletv v.3 and latest panasonic plasma TC -P65VT50? ThanksRONALD S : MyWirelessTV will do nothing for your Internet connection. It gives you a way to wirelessly send a HDMI signal from a source (like AppleTV) to a TV. It does it by creating its own wireless network. It has no connection to any other network.HAROLD W : I'm sorry<, I can't really answer your question... yet. I bought this for my motorhome, where I have HDMI capabilities on my satellite gear and TV's, but only a component video cable from the satellite receiver located in the front of the coach, and my TV in the master bedroom in the rear of the coach I haven't hooked them up to test it yet, but really hope it alleviates the requirement of fishing a 75' HDMI cable between these two equipment locations.
HaroldDICK S : This kit has nothing to do with your internet connection. It's purpose is to send audio & video (hdmi) signals to a TV not connected to a cable or satellite receiver. It does this by creating it's own network (in my case a 192.168.3.xxx network) to wirelessly transmit those signals. I assume it could work for the AppleTV just as well. I don't know about the Panasonic TV but if it has an hdmi connection - why not!ANDREW R : No, this unit is a wireless display device. It utilizes your existing Wi-Fi network to transmit a video signal from a host device to a receiving device (such as an HDMI equipped HDTV). It does not enhance network performance.
