The other reviews talking about the refresh rate are both alittle bit off. The refresh rate IS GENUINELY 144hz at 1920?×?1080. However This is ONLY through the dvi input. NOT through hdmi. I have had this monitor since 2018 and it has held up very well but I recently upgraded my pc and the new graphics card didn't have a dvi slot "no biggie, i'll just use hdmi" Well it turns out that the hdmi ports on this monitor are below 1.3. Which means you can only get to 75 hz . I wasn't able to verify the hdmi port version cause this info is not ANYWHERE. But it 100% doesn't work at its fullest with hdmi. You need an ACTIVE DisplayPort to Dvi Adapter if you want to get 144hz at 1920?×?1080. It now works at 144hz since I got the active adapter, I had to shell out $30 for it. This monitor was good but now it's really not worth that hassle if your graphics card doesn't have a dpi port built-in.

first of all, the other person who reviewed this monitor has no idea what they are talking about, i own 3 of these monitors and can confirm they are indeed 144hz monitors, i have some asus monitors as well that run at 144 hz, i am very familiar with how 144 hz functions and yes, these are great and smooth these are great monitors, my only complaint is that they are troublesome in terms of mounting, there are no built in vesa holes, so you have to get an adapter to be able to mount them. honestly, if i knew that before i purchased 3 of these monitors i wouldn't have gotten them, only because i had to buy 100+ dollars worth of mounts to be able to use them BUT i still really like the monitors, and am happy i got them, they look great in my studio/office but yeah the guy saying they only run at 75hz is a lunatic lol

Gaming beyond borders
Acer XG monitors deliver powerful visuals on a frameless screen to free your gaming and movie experiences from visual borders. WQHD resolution combines with high refresh rates and short response times for ultra-smooth action. These monitors also support FreeSync technology, for tear-free and stutter-free gaming. Plus, built-in eye protection and ergonomics keep things comfortable.

Unrestrained brilliance
The high resolution of this monitor (WQHD, 2560 x 1440 pixels) combines with a rapid refresh rate of 144Hz and a blazingly fast response time of 1ms to deliver ultra-smooth action sequences in great detail. This is also the world's first frameless gaming monitor, so all that action is free to go where your mind goes.
High-speed connections
As a high-end gaming monitor, the XG is designed to handle high rates of data transfer. To get all that data to the monitor quickly and smoothly requires high-bandwidth data cables. That's why these monitors come with high-bandwidth connection ports like HDMI 2.0, DVI (Dual Link) and DisplayPort.
Great eye protection
These monitors help to reduce eye strain with Flicker-less, low-dimming (dim to only 10% of brightness in dark environments), anti-glare and blue-light filtering technologies. Flicker-less technology reduces strain-causing screen flickering, while the blue-light filter lets you filter out harmful blue light. Acer ComfyView technology cuts screen glare to further reduce eye strain.
FreeSync eliminates "tearing"
This monitor's DisplayPort port supports Display Port Adaptive-Sync. That means this monitor can work with a FreeSync-supporting graphics card and driver software to eliminate screen tearing, while minimizing lag and latency. With FreeSync, the monitor's frames are synced with the graphics card's frames, which eliminates screen tearing and delivers very smooth gaming experiences.
1 ms Response Time
This display's short response time eliminates "ghosting", for crisp and perfectly rendered action sequences.
WQHD
2560x1440 resolution in a 16:9 aspect ratio gives you four times more detail than the 720p HDTV video standard.
