S4X-V Midfield Monitor
The S4X-V has been designed for vertical positioning and includes the same X-ART tweeter and 6" Hexacone midrange driver found in the S4X-H. The resulting similarity in sonic characteristics allows combinations of different S4X versions in larger multi-channel applications. The S4X-V features one 12" woofer alongside the 6" HexaCone midrange unit made of the same material. This driver was specially designed to provide optimum results in a bass-reflex enclosure with electronic correction. The dynamic features of the S4X-V are exceptional throughout the entire frequency range: extreme transient-like noise events such as explosions or bursting material are reproduced with total realism.

A 250 Watt PWM amplifier drives the S4X-V's midrange speaker while a 500 Watt PWM amp powers the woofer. The low heat generation of this technology guarantees highest reliability. Like the S4X-H, the S4X-V is designed for medium-sized studios, but its high power performance makes it absolutely capable of providing larger rooms with adequate levels. Because of their technical specifications which closely follow the recommendations of the IRT (German Institute for Broadcast Technology), their superior sound quality and high reliability, these monitors are particularly suitable for broadcast and TV applications but can also be found in numerous major recording studios.

S4X-H Midfield Monitor
The horizontally designed S4X-H midfield monitor combines the X-ART tweeter with a 6" HexaCone midrange driver and two highly developed 9" HexaCone woofers. A 250 Watt PWM amplifier drives each the woofers and midrange speaker, while the proprietary ADAM A/B amplifier powers the high-frequency range. The A/B amplifier's minimum distortion and broadband features in conjunction with the X-ART tweeter result in a bright, contoured sound with no dynamic stress.

Larger monitors tend to compromise the overall sound with too much bass. Both S4X versions connect power and volume of the lower bass frequencies (the -3 dB point being at 28 Hz) with absolute precision, a clean midrange and effortless, highly precise transient reproduction. This makes accurate control of recorded material possible in larger control rooms.

The S4X-H is designed for medium-sized rooms, although it is able to fill larger rooms with adequate levels because of its power capabilities. Sub2100 Subwoofer

All subwoofers feature both balanced (XLR) and unbalanced (RCA) input/output connectors and comprehensive control options that allow for adapting to different room acoustics and requirements.

ADAM has developed the unique Sub2100 subwoofer for the special requirements of large control rooms and studios. The Sub2100 combines a huge 21.5" woofer and an amplifier capable of 1000W continuous power housed in a bass reflex enclosure tuned for reproducing frequencies down to 18Hz. The sheer power and extremely high efficiency (99dB/ W/m) enable this system to produce linear SPL peaks of >/=128dB without any significant compression.

The world's largest voice coil
Essential to the volume of this woofer is the gigantic 6" voice coil, which is the largest worldwide. Equipped with this voice coil, the Sub2100 is capable of reaching the highest SPLs in the lowest frequencies that can be perceived by the human ear. On every level, the Sub2100 establishes a new benchmark in subwoofer technology.

Panel / Controls
All subwoofers feature a level control (-60dB to +6dB), phase switch (180deg.) and a variable upper frequency control (50-150Hz). For the satellite outputs, an 85Hz high pass filter can be switched in to block frequencies below 85Hz so satellite speakers can meet the Dolby recommendations for theater sound and also to relieve the satellites from the lower frequencies. In addition, you can either switch on/off the subwoofer manually or use the option of automatically powering up the subwoofer whenever it receives a signal (signal-on/ continuous).
