Adorama Film Changing Room (25 x 22 x 15")

Never used a changing bag before. This "changing room" is like a mini tent with sleeves. The sleeves have cuffs and elastic further up the sleeve for a double seal. There is a double zippered seal at the entry and the interior is roomy. I am looking forward to working with this bag and 4x5 film inserts. Price is reasonable and shipping is free.

Super roomie. Makes changing my 4x5 film holders super easy, even if I'm doing like five at once. The material it's made of has a bit of an odor, and you're gonna be up real close when you're using it, so fair warning. The construction seems pretty sturdy, and I'm not worried about puncturing it or anything during normal use.

I love the size of the changing, it pops up easily and folds down easily. There is plenty of room in the the changing bag to load 4 rolls of 120 film in my Jobo 1540 tank. The only down side is the changing bag had a strong fishy smell to it. I am sure its some chemical. I didn't see any Hearing in the bag when I unboxed it. Also the arm baffles are light tight, but I am used to changing bags having two sets of elastic per arm.

This is a great changing bag. If you are doing large format or other size film. This bag will give you all the room needed to get you film loaded or unloaded and into a film canister for processing.

So much nicer than a regular bag. Using this to load 4x5 sheet film and play around with 4x5 polaroid's. I have always struggled with regular bag style film changing bags with the bag getting in the way and touching things I don't want touched.. like my film having this its more like working in a blacked out room where you don't feel confined etc :) it was a little stinky when I first opened it but gave it a couple of days sitting on the counter and the smell went away.

Omar the Tentmaker couldn't have done a better job! Bags give me claustrophobia of the hand. For a klutz like me... Let's just say remove the eye from hand-eye coordination and you get the picture. The first time I used the tent, I had a "where have you been all my life?" moment! If I close my eyes, it's like being in the darkroom.

Size is good. Quality is good. Enough space to load 35 and 120 film which are the roll sizes that I use. No need anymore to darken the whole room or wait for night time to load tanks.

Gets the job done just fine and I imagine it's easier than the bag, but I wish the bottom was weighted or something. If you accidentally lift your arms, your tank and film can get jostled and you lose track of what is where. Maybe I missed it, but I also wish there were instructions to collapse it back into the carrying bag.

This thing is great! There is plenty of room to load either tanks or film holders. Also, you don't have to fight with the material of a bag getting in your way as you work to load holders or tanks. And the super old changing bag that this is replacing is pretty much night and day as one of the elastic sleeves had worn out and the inner bag was shedding tons of fibers. Way too early to tell but the materials of this "changing room" should last a very long time. The only negatives I have to say about it are the arm holes could be just a little closer to the front (your body) and maybe a little lower. But even with that minor criticism it's still getting 5 stars!

Unlike a changing bag you have what you want to do, up and out in front of you, it covers everything securely and your arms completely, a must for a home film darkroom.

Definitely buy one of these! So much easier to load film onto reels without the top constantly hitting your wrists. Also more pleasant to load 4x5 film. This is one area where it pays to spend a little more

Spacious interior. Easy fit arm holes. However, the arm holes enter the tent in the middle of the sidewalls. Higher than everything I use inside a changing bag. I can put my elbows down on my workspace but that makes your hands go up in the air. Above everything. If they had placed the arm holes at desk level, this would be a very useable tent.

Very good. Easy to assemble. Easy to use. Confortable for working with. Easy to store. Easy to transport. I didn’t give five stars only because the zipper is a little bit clumsy, but manageable.

The film changing room is solidly built, and is incredibly spacious. I have three developing tanks and all were able to fit within its confines comfortably. The elastic on the sleeves are a little loose, but if a sweatshirt is worn while using the bag it fits snug and keeps light out. Additionally, the price compared to other offerings is very competitive, especially for the quality

Perfect for 4x5 film holders (8x10 is a stretch, need something bigger) loading film into tanks and bulk loading 35mm film. Easy to open and close, now the real question is how long before it deteriorates.

Doesn't fold as small as would be convenient (barely fits in a suitcase), and it's a little awkward having the arm holes on opposite sides, but overall it gets the job done and is much easier to use than a changing bag for large format

Product tag indicates product includes a detachable "waste basket" inside. There are no internal attachements (velcro, snaps, zippers, etc.) so this feature must have been removed. The product tag needs to be revised. Also some instructions for erecting/folding would be nice. I assume that the straps are pull handles, but the product is folded wrong from the factory. It would seem if the product was instead folded so that one handle was on the "inside fold", then pulling the handles would erect it.
